A HAPPY ENDING!!!!
Introducing MIKA.
A galguita placed in a shelter in Olivenza Badajoz, a number - just a number. Another galgo abandoned alongised the tens and tens of thousands at this time of year. The hunt season closed and the mass abandonment began alongside it mass slaughters everywhere across Spain. Galgos = Vermin, and their serenity only blessess those of us who know them, who they have touched our lives and you just cant get enough of this amazing breed. One we class a pet, once a regal pet, which here in Spain the galgueros, hunters class as a tool.
Mika was prey to abandonment, and Antonio in Malaga was on the search for a pet to join his family. He saw the advert calling for help in badajoz 70 Galgos were on death row and he adopted Mika. Mika joined the family only 3 weeks ago and she came scared and thin. Who knows what she has been through, only she knows. She has signs of Serpation anxiety, but she only wants to cling onto the first weeks of her life which have only offered her love and warmth.. no wonder she cries when her papi goes out. She will adjust with patience and the correct approach to this anxiety whci her papi understand she has signs of. She will be fine in time. Her fear is slowly going and she looks stunning.
Congratulations for adopting her, to you Mika and to you Antonio for letting the Galgos into your heart. This serene dog who those of us who know, adore them as pets and their elegance and loyalty. The love you offer her, she will reward you with thousand times over, a love so pure you would wonder what you ever did without her in your life. fantastic!!!
Here's her pictures above. Thanks to Antonio, her new papi and the volunteer who took her home so that she wa safe from having been sacrificed while awaiting to come to Antonio.. yes thats right even while you wait for plans of transport in occasions you turn around and they are gone.. so a great effort was placed from the volunteer who took her home meantime.
The photos include Mika at the perrera, her foster home and then,... finally AT HOME!!!!!!
FANTASTIC!
Thankyou Antonio for sharing your story, Good luck to you both.
