Por favor, os pido ayuda para difundir este caso de pérdida de una galguita llamada RITA.

El sábado 16-08-08, paseaban por la Avenida de San Luis (barrio de Hortaleza que colinda con el barrio de la Uva) cuando la perra se asustó y salió corriendo. Su dueño estuvo buscándola durante horas sin aparecer.

Saturday 16-8-08 waslking along AVENIDA DE SAN LUIS (BARRIO DE HORTALEZA COLINDA CON EL BARRIO DE LA UVA) RITA as she is called got scared suddenly and ran off. Her owner looked for her for hours but to no avail. She is a galga who is 3 and a half, has a chip and very sociable. She was adopted as a pup. She has a cleather collar (galguero type) and has a anti parasite collar. If you see her PLEASE contact below. PLEASE forward the information or put up posters, anything to help. The fear is she was near a gypsy area. The family are desperate, as you can Imagine.

Es una galga joven de 3'5 años de edad, está identificada (microchip) y es muy sociable; la adoptaron siendo cachorro. Llevaba collar de cuero marrón (tipo galguero) y collar antiparasitario negro.

Su dueña estaba de viaje y al regresar anoche su hijo le contó que se había escapado, está desesperada, ha llenado de carteles la zona y no ha parado de hacer llamadas a todas partes. Es una zona de gitanos y ahora mismo está por la zona metiéndose por todos lados.

TUC fue adoptado hace unas semanas, lleva Chip y placa identificativa. Lo soltaron y se escapó, es un perro buenísimo....muy activo pero muy noble. Tiene un año y poco, ESTÁ CASTRADO Y NO SIRVE PARA CAZAR!!.

NOTICIAS DE LUZ

Luz was a Galga who wandered aimlessly in the streets of Jaen. Like many many thousands of galgos right now, abandoned at their own luck, the theory "a hunting dog, they can find their own food!" Of course those are the lucky ones, the ones deemed useless, are hung, injected with bleach, or dumped in wells. Their lives hell on earth, for having been gifted the life of being a "Spanish Galgo".

Luz was no different. infact you can see her story below on the previous pages, how she roamed the streets and how her Guardian angel "vero" was hot on her heels, to rescue her. Luz too scared to know the differance of a kind hand to one that would beat her, just wouldnt come close to Vero. It was a long process and one which did end up as a rescue, but one unwished for. Luz was hit by a car, someone hit her like they do, and they of course drove of. Adding insult to injury probably either not looking back - or stopping and assuming she'd die anyway, and not wanting the costs involved at the seriousness of what they did. Blood on their hands to this day!

Vero scooped Luz, and took her to the vets. The story as I say is below. However, taken to Madrid where she went into care she had to have her back leg amputated, in the end the front paw caught infection and will have to be pinned. 2 legs injured on the same side. You wonder, how can they make it? well a galgos strength is to never ever give up... see for yourself below.

These photos are in the clinic, she has a brother who is the boxer and they all adore Luz. how can you not? She is one galga that stuns me in her strength and true fight for survival... I hope she finds the home who will understand her special needs. She deserves true love...for her now, at least there is a ray of light (Luz translated) at the end of a very dark tunel. At last!

Luz es una galga con muchissimo ganas de vivir. Estaba caminando por las calles de jaen cuando su angel de Guardia intentaba de rescatar la. Fue dificil .. meses.. porque Luz ha sido tan maltratado que no queria acercar a nadia. Un dia, se fue atropeado, (la historia con fotos esta en las paginas antiguas) la persona quien hizo esto tiene sangre en su manos. No queria para porque igual no parado seguio a su camino, o pensaba que se murio asi, o miedo por tantos gastos que se puede pasar por curar una galga en que el o ella fur responsable... en fin, la historia es muy tipico en españa. Vero fue a resctar Luz, nadia queria un rescate asi, ... la historia esta abajo.

Ahora luz esta recuperandose pero se ha amputado la pierna entera detras, lo que es mas dificil es que ella al final tenia un infecion en la pata delante pero en lo mismo lado. Y tiene que poner unos claves (pins) ya ves la fuerza que ellos tiene para sobre vivir como sea, 4 patas, 3 y en 2. Un dia ella se encuentran con su familia, quien entiende su necesidades especiales. Pobrecita Luz, ha pasado por mucho .. pero ya hay un rayo de luz al final de un tunel muy oscurro. "Luz, tienes tanto Brillo, que te ilumines las vidas que te conoce" suerte, mucha suerte!
