Remember the story of Bebe? A podenca found in distress in a story I wrote about a few links ago, well Bebe found her new Mama in France, with Beryl from http://www.galgonews.com/ Bebe needed surgery which her new Mama has attended to and here are the pictures to show her slow but steady progression. I just know that in the hands of her new Mama she will develop and grow and her healing will soon pass in the love and care that she will now have, in her forever home.
My personal thanks go to Beryl for loving Bebe and taking her in, a special girl with a Special Mama. keep us all posted on her Progress, we'll be waiting for pics of her running around with her brothers and sisters (adopted) in no time! thanks for caring and loving her Beryl, she couldnt have found a better family!!!!
There is also a pic of Bebe with Pruna a 3 legged Podenca who acompanied Bebe to a new home in France. Good luck little girls, you deserve true happiness! These are Beryls own words on her update!
Bonjour
I took Bebe to the vet yesterday afternoon and she has had the operation on her dislocated hip.
Because the injury was done at the beginning of February, and she was unable to have any treatment till now, her hip could not be put back in place. The vet has operated on the joint, and I collected the little dog this morning.
You can see a picture of the operation site.
She is on anti-inflammatory medication for 10 days, and also antibiotics to prevent the risk of infection. She has to just be taken out to the toilet, and not walked or allowed to jump for 4-6 weeks. She has to return to the vet to have her stitches removed in 10 days' time.
She is feeling very sorry for herself, and is curled up in a basket in front of the fire. But she still have a lovely wag in her tail when she gets up!
She is adorable!
