This web page is dedicated to every Spanish Galgo who is being tortured as you read this, and awaiting the kind hand of courage to come in and rescue them. Every letter I have written, had published, and every person I have spoken to about the galgos, it is in dedication to them. To the associations who work tirelessly to save, mend and further protect Galgos from the cruel hands of the hunter.

LIFE OR DEATH!!!! VIDA o MUERTE!!!!

ANIMALES HUESO Y PELLEJOS CASO DE SINDROME DE NOE EN HUELVA !!!

PORFAVOR :

WE ARE ASKING FOR HELP BECAUSE WHILE LOOKING FOR LAND BETWEEN SEVARAL ASSOC. WE HAVE FOUND THE MOST EXTREME OF EXTREME CASES, SOME 27 DOGS IN CHRONIC STATE, SOME PUPS HAVE DIED FROM MALNOURISHMENT, THERE IS MANGE, WOUNDS, EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF.
WE DONT HAVE A REFUGE CENTRE, THEREFORE WE CANNOT ONLY TAKE THIS CASE ON ALONE. WE HAVE TAKEN 2 PUPPIES AND ONE DIED FROM LACK OF STRENGTH.

THERE ARE VARIOUS GALGOS AND OTHER BREEDS, ADULTS AND PUPS.

WE HAVE SPOKEN WITH SEPRONA AND THEY HAVE ADVISED US TO TAKE THEM OUT OURSELVES AS THEY WILL ONLY ADVISE THE MUNICIPAL SHELTER AND THEY WILL BE DESTROYED JUST FOR THE MANGE.
WE ARE TREATING THE MANGE AND GIVING THEM THE REQUIRED CARE FOR PARASITES.
PLEASE HELP US AND TAKE AN ANIMAL.. WHEN WE HAVE PHOTOS WE WILL SEND THEM. CONTACT BELOW: THANKYOU
Gracias

IN ADOPTION..MARY!

Mary Mary quite contrary how does your garden grow? With peaceful doves and lots of love and sugared hugs all in a row row row and sugared hugs all in a row!!!!

Here is a photo of little Mary yesterday with my children. she is THE sweetest. She didnt get of the chair at all, the entire time she was with us. Just beautful little baby girl. Now all she needs is a forever home!!!!!!!

She is a little more playful, but has no apetite at all. She comes out of her room and goes back in. Bless her, she is so little like a little dolly. She just sleeps. See what her tests say tomorrow or Tuesday. She would so deserve a forever home!

Something to smile for, pups rescued.. but now the work begins!

Used to some hard hitting scenes, It goes with the territory so sadly. A galgo, podenco and all breed lover, avid saviour of breeds sent this video of her first large case. This video reduced me to tears, the sites but what really got me was Negri never getting her forever family, yet saved from hell.

Why does it have to be this way? Nothings changed, people still keep animals this way.. there has to be a way for change and growth to take place. Our children, the future learning a better way.. Thanks Silvia, for all you have done and all you are doing.

GUAM GREYHOUND RESCUE PROJECT

http:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5Mz9gNUMas&feature=email

This is the inspiring story of the rescue of racing greyhounds from the Island of Guam after the closing of a failed dog track. In November of '08, when it became known that greyhound race dogs in desperate condition were roaming the island, none of us knew how many greyhounds were at risk, where they were, where they could go, or how they would get there, not to speak of, how the rescue mission would be paid for. What we did know, was that we had to find a way . . . So volunteers with Guam Animals in Need embarked on an urgent mission to find the dozens of greyhounds who had been let loose or were living in deplorable conditions after the track "give-away adoption" program went into effect. Every greyhound that was found, nursed back to health and eventually boarded an airplane represented a monumental victory that lent continuing courage and determination for all that lay ahead. Forty-four trips to the airport (on both sides of the ocean) and nine months later, 155 Guam...

On pages previously you will see the beginning of the Guam rescue story below, but I think the video says it all.

Introducing MARY!

OS PRESENTO A MARY!!!

Mary is a tiny little podenca. I found her while coming home from visiting Charlie a Galgo in care with Rocio. I was passing through Alhaurin and decided to stop and put gas in my car. Thank God I did. I found Mary, she looked like a little lamb, the guys there told me she wandered behind everyone. Like ary had a little lamb and everywhere she went the lamb was sure to go - fitted name.
I thought she lookd older from a distance. I asked the petrol guy had she been abandonded and didnt he think it wiser to try to catch her than her be on a main road. He said his boss would not let them and had to shoo her away. Mary kept coming back. Then as someone went near she ran.

I ran in to pay for my petrol saw the guy at the window of the garage giggling I am sure at the attempt I was making to try to catch her, I grabbed the first thing I could see soft kids crisps (common here) threw my money at the guy not wanting to lose sight, it was getting dark. To no avail, she didnt want it. I ran back in and bought smelly mortadela, it worked, and she ate a little. She then followed me.. it was just a matter of playing her game back and forth back and forth, and eventually she tired, placed her self in a small corner and I grabbed her. I always have a lead in the car which I had taken out when I got out of the car - frozen in fear she let me place it on. Though I told her she would be fine, what would she know. I saw she was just a little baby. Left to fend for heself.

While I was wandering round the P.station vatious men stopped and whistled, it got her attention since thats probably what she has heard.. but didnt go near. A lady arrived telling me she had 7 dogs picked up and 7 cats, ( I thought to myself join the club)she begged me not to take her to El Paraiso - she didnt know who I was, nor what I care about. But Mary was coming home with me! I told her not to worry Mary would be taken care of. The men still laughing, encouraging her to catch her telling the lady you get her cos then if she bites she bites you. By then Mary was mine. I scooped her and off we went.

Bless Mary.
She is having her routine tests Leishmania (negative) erlichia and Filaria will be back in a few days, de ticked and dethistled, wormed, frontlined, we await her results and then she can be vaccinated and go into kennels.

Funding residency for our 4 legged friends is very very hard. If you would like to help in anyway possible, it would be so greatfully received.

EN ADOPCION! IN ADOPTION.

In Adoption Uro, rescued malnourished and wounded, full of icks and fleas with big wounds. starting the healing process Uro recovered in record time, he showed he was a noble and loyal dog, like only a galgo knows how to be.
He is very close to his carers and walks beside them never leaving their side totally stuck to them, he asks constantly for his daily share of patting and strokes, and if you miss a bit he will give you a paw to remind you, or a lick.

If you are interested in knowing more about Uro and offering him a forever, then please contact the address below.
