Así quedó ayer el Toro de Jubilo en Medinaceli, Soria.

Lo contaba Público ayer, un año más se aterrorizó a un toro colocándole dos antorchas en los cuernos. A pesar de las 7.000 firmas presentadas por el Partido Contra el Maltrato Animal (PACMA) para detener el evento, un año más se celebró el Toro de Jubilo en el municipio soriano de Medinaceli.En esta nueva edición, el triste protagonista ha sido "Felipe", un toro de 400 kilogramos, de color rojo,que ha tenido que sufrir el mismo desatino que otros toros sufren cada año en Medinaceli.El alcalde de Medinaceli, Felipe Utrilla, ha eludido hoy entrar en polémicas con los defensores de los animales y ha justificado la celebración del evento porque "es una tradición muy querida por los vecinos" y por ello se sigue realizando, a pesar de las protestas.Esta tortura al toro de Jubilo se permite porque la Junta de Castilla y León—PP- lo declaró, en el año 2002, "espectáculo taurino tradicional". http://www.publico.es/espana/269816/asi/infierno/animal/medinaceli

El 76% de los españoles se muestra a favor de suprimir las fiestas autorizadas donde se maltrata a animales, como la del Toro Júbilo de Medinaceli, que se celebrará esta noche en esta localidad soriana.Así se refleja en una encuesta encargada por la organización El Refugio, en la que los mayores de 65 años se muestran más reacios a prohibir estos festejos.Los residentes en Navarra son los más partidarios de que se supriman estas fiestas (87%), seguidos de los de Aragón (82%), al contrario que los de La Rioja (60%) y el País Vasco (65%).Como en años anteriores, a partir de las 23.30 horas de hoy, el morlaco "El Guapo" será tirado con una cuerda por varios jóvenes, que lo sacarán a la plaza, lo atarán a un poste y lo sujetarán por ambos lados para fijarle un soporte en la cabeza con el que portará bolas de fuego.Posteriormente, se prenderán cinco hogueras a su alrededor, con lo que, según El Refugio, "El Guapo" será preso del pánico, más cuando sienta avivar el fuego en su cabeza."La mirada del Toro nos lo dice todo. El terror se apodera de él antes ya de entrar en la plaza. galgos....the reality........ Tell me, it just pulls on your heart!! The Spanish galgos need help!

Lets talk Galgos! (Spanish greyhound!)

In the midst of the hunting season who can tell the numbers that are abandoned, more than 50.000 well its probably a sure thing this year! Just stop, think 50.000 abandoned galgos in a country is a MASS number of animals. These are the galgos which have been taken down from trees, from being left there to "play the piano" as their death of hanging is termed and so frequently practised, or rescued from wells. Saved from the streets, and even drains half rat eaten.

Fact! Spanish galgos = vermin!

To those of us who love Galgos, we know they are THE most serene of dogs, elegant with a gift from God in their velocity, stolen by man to make them a profit and then be rid of the galgo. No longer needed to either breed and breed from or just decided that they are not worth their keep on stale mouldy bread after all.. new blood is coming up!

Galgos and their plight needs publicity, education and one of my aims is to help create an educational centre. Offering tuition and a safe place for galgos while giving something back to the public,.. something back to the breed, a place in society as a PET!

The amount of associations who work tirelessly to save these amazing animals, 365 days a year solely on funding they make, costs of which can reach over the thousands.. to me are real guardian angels.

Speaking with a friend of mine for an example, in one of the most punished areas Castilla la Mancha, 32 galgos came in, practically all at once. Scared to find adoptions here in Spain for their safety us upmost they must never return to the hands of a hunter.

I will endeavour to continue to look for publicity for the galgos.. and raise them back up in society as a household pet!

Cristal a galga rescued in tremendous conditions of neglect and abuse has foud her forever home abroad. Its a case which was very delicate and needed alot of care. Cristal still remains scared at times but had severe scabies, and malnourishment. The mental scares too much to bare left her barely approachable, upon waiting and waiting for her to slowly gain confidance she has now gained weight, had all relevant tests completed and adopted. DONKEY BRUTALLY MURDERED IN SPAIN SHOCKS DONKEY CHARITY

There are times when I save the reader of my blog a photo, this time I ask you to choose, PLEASE click the link of the refuge and follow the story. Ive at times not added cases of pups left in boxes mutilated tails cut of ears and STILL alive.. this hour remains for the poor lost soul that was a BEAUTIFUL DONKEY DESTROYED by kids!!!!!!!!! May God punish them, and they reign in hell forwhat they have done, blood on their hands cat iron souls.

A donkey has been brutally murdered by teenagers in the village of Torreorgaz in the Spanish region of Extremadura. The news has shocked the Sidmouth-based Donkey Sanctuary and its Spanish counterpart now plans to take full legal action against the culprits.

El Refugio del Burrito, based in Fuente de Piedra is a Spanish registered charity, and part of the UK-based Donkey Sanctuary, dedicated to the care and protection of donkeys and mules.

Staff at the refuge were devastated to hear how a young female donkey died in the early hours of Saturday 31st October after being repeatedly kicked, and more disturbingly for having objects inserted into its bodily orifices causing great internal damage, which then led to a fatal heart attack.

Ivan Salvia, General Manager at El Refugio Del Burrito says: “This cruel act is incomprehensible and we hope to find justice for the poor donkey concerned. The owner is just as devastated as we are.”

El Refugio del Burrito now plans to lodge an official condemnation to the local government of Extremadura to start the legal proceedings. The charity also hopes to gather support from the general public to campaign for animal protection laws to be fully enforced in future.

Como ciudadana de este País, frente a este escrito manifiesto mi total repulsa en relacion a los hechos acontecidos en Torreorgaz (Cáceres) en donde una inocente burrita terminó muerta a manos de la brutal paliza que recibió de unos MALNACIDOS, que espero sean condenados como se merecen y no protegidos por la ley, como es costumbre al ser menores de edad, lo que no les impidió cometer atrocidades como estas.
Defiendo el cumplimiento de la Ley 5/2002 de Protección de Animales en la Comunidad Autónoma, que prohíbe maltratar, torturar o infligir daños a los animales o someterlos a cualquier otra práctica que les pueda producir daños injustificados o la muerte.
Pongo en conocimiento que todas las personas amantes y defensoras de los animales, vamos a mover esta noticia por todos los medios posibles, los rincones que existan y vamos a realizar un exahustivo seguimiento de este caso y su resolución desde todas las comunidades autónomas ( y desde fuera del País también), pues exigimos JUSTICIA, estamos todos cansados de callarnos, de ver oir y callar, de proteger las identidades de maltratadores, de aguantar que ASESINOS esten libres o penados con una patética sanción económica..

¿Pero que está ocurriendo en Extremadura? Ya son muchos los casos de maltrato en Extremadura: dos cachorros fueron mutilados el pasado 9 de octubre, un perro apaleado y ahorcado en Talavera la Real en octubre de 2008, en mayo de 2008 se encontraron 12 cabras con las ubres amputadas y ahora esto...!!!
Si la ley no actúa, actuaremos los ciudadanos y saldremos a las calles a denunciar lo que ocurre y lo que se permite y se tapa en este País y nadie nos callará hasta que los culpables paguen.
Internet mueve muchas y enormes redes sociales y gracias a ello son más y más las personas que se conciencian sobre el maltrato permitido que existe en ese País hacia los animales y las que no tienen miedo a contar a microfono abierto lo que ocurre.. http://www.20minutos.es/noticia/555475/0/maltrato/burra/muerte/No vamos a dejar que estos hechos queden en el olvido.
