Pure example of the Agony a Galgo faces... don't look the other way he couldnt!!!

Parchito The Galgo Needs Our Help
A few days ago GRIN received a notice about a Galgo abandoned on the streets in Puebla de Cazalla, Sevilla. The pictures are shocking, but we cannot turn our faces from what this poor creature has endured. The rescue of this poor boy began with a lady named Macarena who spotted him in this village. The word went out and various rescuers, Lydia, Salva, Jero, MaCarmen and Maca got together and easily caught him due to his weakened and emaciated state. Our friend Silvia in Valencia was informed and was the first to offer to bring him across Spain from Sevilla to Valencia to her vet. She began the urgent transportation link via private transports because of his delicate state of being. On Friday Aug. 7th Parchito arrived in Valencia and is safe now. He has had blood drawn and is being treated. They gave him a bath and he is eating and drinking. Silvia said that when they opened the door of the car to receive him he was shaking in terror, not knowing what was happening to him. In a short time, with kind words and treatment, he even licked her hand. It will be a long road of recovery as the vet thinks he had been deliberately burned on parts of his body, had wounds all over and has the mange as well.
Silva said he looked worse in person than in the picture but we know that he now has a chance to be safe and someday find his forever home. GRIN is happy to take donations for Parchito’s ongoing medical expenses as this will take some time. If you would like to donate via our PayPal account, just earmark your donation to Parchito. Checks are also welcome. We will keep everyone up to date on his progress. We also want to thank everyone involved in his rescue. Lots of good thoughts and well wishes going your way Parchito!

This galgo now has a name, Parchito! A galgo born in Spain faces a hard life just from the start. Never meeting the needs of their hunter owner, or even if they do, they never live the life a pet lives.. they just don't have rights.

Associations throughout Europe of course here in Spain and as far a field as USA, fight for the rights of these galgos and I beg you PLEASE don't turn away, there is so much work to be done and not a single galgo has the chance to look away from the torture they face. So we owe them that much, a hand held out in peace and offering.. something they just have never known, but curiously enough when accepted they love with ALL their heart. A love only a galgo can give.

This Galgo appears to have been burnt, rescued of the street and now within a clinic he is finally being treated for scabies and burns. The photos speak for themselves.

If you would like to help with parchitos care, please email Silvia personally on the email above and she will be most happy to hear from you and very greatful, or enter into http://www.galgorescue.org/ parchito and payment can be made through GRIN in order to make things easier for this lil guy! It's a miracle he was found. thank God for the galgos guardian Angels.

G.R.I.N steps in to help Parchitos needs, a progressive amount of work which will continue. Thanks to all!
