The plight of the Spanish Galgo continues and is at an ALL TIME high. Abandonment in the tens of thousands and murders and disreguard all over Spain about the breed which is recognised as VERMIN. Thin, scruffy, beggar, scoundral.. disgrace to the town where they wander so a municipal "dog catcher" turns up, removes the vermin and thats that... end of. Publications are one of the BIGGEST ways to help the galgo, and its most desperate plight.
My personal thanks go to Lisa for taking the time to have written the letter and to the newspaper for hearing her call.

La tema de los galgos en España sigue, esta a un nivel mas alto que nunca. Miles y Miles y miles de galgos estan abadonados y con mal conocimiento de la raza y como es.
Conocido como cazador.. vagabundo, vergüenza al pueblo con perros asi por las calles. entonces vandran un "perro cazador" y lo cojen y lo llevan a una perrera municipal. Asi calles limpios.. y ya esta.
Publicando la tema de los Galgos en España es uno de las mejores maneras de ayudar. Alcanzas mucha gente tocando su alma, es una tema desesperada.

Mis agradecimientos va a Lisa, por habido tomado el tiempo de escribir la carta y al periodico por su publicacion.

Galguito atropellado en Sevilla.Uerge casa de acogida y ayuda económica

Le hemos llamado
Kunta-Kinte. Tiene unos 2-3 años de edad y es un macho precioso, con un pelo
negro brillante y una cara guapísima... pero tiene unos dolores horribles el
pobre animalito. Intenta andar por un sentido de supervivencia enorme, pero por
la postura y la forma de poner las patas, no sólo tiene una fractura clara en la
pata delantera sino algo también en las traseras, rodillas, cadera... no se sabe
aún.
Las fotos son de cuando le hemos recogido.
Necesitamos urgentemente una casa casa de acogida.
Pues me sabe mal decirlo, pero no tengo dinero para
pagar una consulta de urgencia... y no está en peligro de muerte. He llamado a
un veterinario y por teléfono me ha dicho que hacer, así que ahora está recogido
y atendido, y medicado con Metacam y Synulox. Mañana tiene cita en el
traumatólogo.

Esta es una de las zonas con mayor tradición galguera de Extremadura.

Lejos de las protectoras de Badajoz, lejos de las Protectoras de Castilla - La Mancha y lejos de cualquier parte.... aquí los perros están abandonados a su suerte y al mayor silencio en la consecución de sus trágicos destinos.

Las imágenes que siguen han sido tomadas el pasado jueves 21 de Enero.

No hace falta buscar mucho para encontrar esta escena, probablemente cuanto más se busque más se encontrará y cuanto más escondido se busque peores cosas se podrán ver. Yo sólo fui capaz de coger una. que resultó ser una pequeña galguita con 1 año aprox. Me tuve que ir con la sensación que que me podría haber llevado más si hubiese llevado encima más comida o si hubiese podido estar algo más de tiempo allí. También había un mastin que parecía joven, este se apoderó de la carne que yo había echado y tenía tanta hambre que no me dejó acercarme ni a mi.

ITS NOT HARD TO FIND THIS SCENE. PROBABLY THE MORE YOU LOOK MORE YOU WILL SEE HIDDEN AND SEE THE WORST SIGHTS TO SEE. I WAS ONLY ABLE TO RESCUE ONE GALGA APPROX 1 YEAR OLD. I LEFT WITH THE SENSATION THAT I COULD HAVE TAKEN MORE HAD I TAKEN MORE FOOD OR HAD MORE TIME THERE. THERE WAS ALSO A MASTIN WHO LOOKS YOUNG, GRABBED THE MEAT I TOOK AND WAS SO STARVED HE WOULD NOT LET ME NEAR NOT EVEN ME.

Hay que tener en cuenta que la temporada de caza todavía no ha acabado y que lo peor está por llegar seguro. A mi este sitio no pe pilla cerca ni mucho menos, pero si me es posible, me pasaré en los próximos días a llevar algo de comida y ver si puedo coger a alguno más... o de cualquier forma, tratar de que no sean olvidados... YOU HAVE TO THINK THAT THE HUNT SEASON HAS NOT YET EVEN FINISHED AND THE WORST IS YET TO COME FOR SURE. THIS PLACE IS FAR FROM CLOSE BY TO ME, BUT IF ITS POSSIBLE ILL RETURN IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS WITH MORE FOOD AND HOPE TO CATCH ANOTHER.. OR WHICHEVER WAY I CAN WILL WORK SO THEY ARE NOT FORGOTTEN...
