This baby puppy of just 2 months was wandering round with his "hunter owners" along with other podencos. This lil one was left behind, in a way its a better thing noone came back for him, for his chances are higher now of a better life if someone can adopt him. He has taken to a not moving from a house but the person cannot keep him any longer. Its been 2 weeks. If anyone can offer this lil one a home please contact below. Good luck Kiddo!

Este bebe esta en adopcion. Estaba paseando con su cazador "dueño" con un pack de podencos. Con solo 2 meses se quedo detras, y nadia ha vuelto por el. En mi opinion esto es mejor, asi el tiene esperanza de una buena vida si alguien puede adoptar le. Porfavor, esta en un jardin sin valla, de momento nadia ha vuelto por el, no dejas mas tiempo pasar, esta en el frio y peligro. Si estas interesado en adoptar este bebe, los telefonos estan abajo. JACK GROOM is 6 years old and is currently being treated for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Jacks fundraising charity was set up on his behalf in January 2007 to raiseFunds for the Leukemia Research Fund and The Donna Lousie Trust (Treetops Hospice). Jack has had the amazing opportunity of raising lots of funds for his charity. His local recycling centre has set him a challenge. For every 100 Christmas cards he gets and recycles after Christmas, they will donate £100 to jacks fundraising. Please add Jack to your Christmas card list and make a huge difference to the lives of all Children with leukemia as well as his. BARTOLOMÉ RAMÍREZ CASTRO, vicepresidente Club Nacional del Galgo EspañolComo grupo de ONG’s al favor de los galgos nos gustaría en primer lugar felicitarle, por la acogida de los casi 100 galgosrequisados durante las operaciones HARRY y CLAVIJO, y los cuidados que han recibidos en sus instalaciones.
Nos consta que la gran mayoría de los galgos serán devueltos a sus dueños legales pero, como hay muchos galgos cuyos chips han sido extraídos, suponemos que habrá una cantidad importante de perros que no tienen un dueño localizable. Por lo tanto queremos ofrecerles nuestra ayuda en la colocación y adopción de dichos galgos entre las diferentes ONG’s abajo firmantes.Juntando fuerzas y entre todos nos será posible acoger una cantidad elevada de los galgos requisados para evitar que vuelven al circulo vicioso de muchos galgos: criar con ellos lo máximo posible, probarlos para la caza y desecharlos si no sirven para lacarrera o la caza. Creemos que estos animales ya han pasado por un calvario y no deberían volver a una vida de sacrificio (galgo de cría, caza o carrera).Nosotros les podemos ofrecer una vida en un hogar con los mejores cuidados para que puedan retirarse dignamente.
Referente a TODOS los galgos requisados, tanto los que han sido devueltos a sus anteriores dueños como “regalados” o entregados a protectoras, esperamos que serán registrados con su microchip, dado de alta al nombre de la persona que vienea recoger el animal para así evitar nuevos trapicheos con los animales y una ves “inútiles” para su dueño acaben de mala manera.
También creemos oportuno pedir a los galgueros que acojan a los galgos, que tengan sus instalaciones legalizados y inspeccionadosrecientemente y que tengan sus correspondientes papeles en regla. (núcleo zoológico, registro de animales etc.)
Entendemos que los galgueros presumen del buen cuidado que dan a sus galgos y por lo tanto no les debe de causar ningún esfuerzo presentar dichos papeles a la hora de recoger a los galgos y su asociación debe de tener la obligación de controlar donde acaben estos animales.
Como usted sabe, en muchos refugios españoles también se han sufrido robos de galgos, muchos de ellos adoptados en el extranjero esperando su transporte a estos países. Nosotros las protectoras de los animales y numerosas entidades sin animo de lucro hemos sidotambién victimas de asaltos a los refugios. Para los amantes de los animales dichos robos han sido golpes muy fuerte y esperamos que en el futuro no habrá mas robos de estas características que lamentar. Pedimos un mundo para los galgos más humano, mas honesto y a favor de los animales.

Un Adios especial a FLY. El mejor amigo de Aurora (assoc. degalgos) - un amigo quien estaba a su lado durante mucho años. Yo - dedico este sitio a mi amiga y su perros, - y a los perros quien van a cruzar al ArcoIris en los tiempos mas adelante.

Espero que el dolor en que esta sufriendo Aurora y Angel alivia un poco con el tiempo, por su amigo quien lleva mucho años a su lado. Y que FLY mira desde el cielo con tranquilidad y agradeciemiento a sus papas, porque el -- si sabia, que es sentir amor puro, estaba bendicido con una familia muy especial, y ellos tambien por que el estaba con ellos.

2º FIESTA DE GALGOS!!!!

The 2nd FIESTA DE GALGOS is now being planned!

You are invited to the 2nd Fiesta de galgos being held on the 7th December at El Refugio del Burrito.

Last year numbers reached some 50, this year lets REALLY show everyone just how important galgos are, lets be in numbers superior of 100- Is it too much to ask? Well last years event was breath taking. Stunning, humbling and above all fun. I dont think its too much to ask, after all feeling a little "put out" for a long journey, not sure, is nothing to what a galgo endures, and has no choice of. So come on, make your voice heard and be part of an amazing family day, which includes all mascot/pets.

Me personally - I want the world to know just how much Galgos need to be appreciated. This is one way of becoming active and showing your support. No entry fee, just fun! Fun with your family, freedom for the children, Peace for the galgos in company of each other, and all in the name of helping the associations who work tirelessly to help the galgos. Always in our thoughts those galgos awaiting the kind hand of courage to come in and rescue them, so they one day may join us and become one galgo who can attend such an event.

So COME ON..... accomodation can be found, come and join us, find out all you need to know about the galgos, be a part of something amazing. Es un dia MUY divirtido, no hay entrada, pero si para comer un menu, ( estais bienvenidos traer un picnic). Hay juegos muy divirtidos, y sobre todo - es un dia para apreciar a los galgos, por la raza que es, tan divino, serenos, y para apoyar los quien estan todavia esperando alguien - un angel de guardia entrar en su vidas y rescatarles, para que un dia ellos mismos pueden venir a la fiesta de galgos como mascota y no herramienta.
