I remember when Telma from GRIN mentioned to me that 2 dogs were going to the States in adoption. That wouldnt it be nice if I could go back with her. I totally agreed since I know the work that Telma does and GRIN, and where I can lend a hand I will.

Me acuerdo cuando Telma de GRIN me comento que ellos iban a llevar 2 perros que ha conseguido un adopcion en los estados unidos y que seria guay si puedo ir me de vuelta con ella, con los perros. Yo sin pensar dijo que si, porque entiendo el labor el trabajo que Telma hace y GRIN tambien. Donde puedo ayudar, lo haré.

The journey plans changed and Telma asked me one day if I would consider the journey myself taking the 2 dogs. I said yes, it would be a pleasure to help. Dioni stayed behind to care for our galgo family with the help of the children.

Los planes cambiado y Telma un dia me pregunto como me sentiria si yo me hago el viaje sola con los 2 perros. Le dije que si, porque Dioni se encargara de los galgos que tenemos con los niños, por su puesto!

As the date become closer I became aware that the dogs were of my friend Tina Galgos del Sol Murcia, which made the journey even more special. But where there is needed help, I will always endeavour to do what I can. No matter where.

la fecha se acerco y me entero que los perros eran de Tina, una amiga mia de Galgos del sol Murica. haciendo el viaje mas especial. Pero donde necesitan ayuda hago lo posible siempre de hacer lo que puedo. No importa donde.

It was a real pleasure to take this journey, to see the magic in the families eyes as they received their new additions to their family. To see the waiting team all excited and that their work and great coordination to achieve this had paid off. The girls later on settled well. To also see Telma once again, amazing.

ha sido un placer totalmente de llevar las niñas a su familia adoptiva, para ver la magia en sus ojos en recibir su nuevos mienbros de la familia. Para ver el equipo de bienvenida, y para ver a Telma otro vez.

We had such a great time, I was thrilled to stay with Telma, and go for starbucks coffee each morning and not only that but take the gang with us (their greys and galgos) in the car without any danger! On the contrary people love them for what they are, not objects to rob! Not possessions, just beauty. It really impacted me. I so hope one day we can arrive at that.

Hemos pasado tan bien y ha sido genial quedar me con Telma. Ir a tomar cafe en starbucks todos las mañanas, y llevando la bandia con nosotros en el coche. (Los Greyhounds y galgos) ... sin peligro! Al contrario, la gente lo miran con ojos de belleza, como perros de elegancia no objectos para robar como aqui! Me hecho mucho alusion, me impacto mucho. Ojala un dia llegaremos a eso.

De haciendo tortilla española para la fiesta hemos tenido, de conociendo todos las personas tan especiales quien trabajan con Telma ayudando la y apoyando la y en amor para estos perros. De GRIN, Greyhound Connection y el "meet & Greet" hemos hecho, .. para mi, doy la gracias a todos para su tiempo, su felicidad, y para bendicir me con sus experiencias y amor para estos criaturas.

I also had the pleasure of seeing my sister, brother and father who Ive not seen in many many many years.
Tambien ha sido genial ver a mi familia, hermano hermana, y padre quien no le he visto en muchissimos años.

I truly thank Telma and Mike for their hospitality, their wonderful home, friends, 4 legged family members, and such care of me while I was there.

Ana rescued after many months by Rosemary in Valencia. Podenca Ana was spotted and incredibly lame. untouchable like many are. More with a wound like Anas. Her back leg is broken. Left to the campo Rosemary starts to place food for her. She comes daily but no place is found, no room at the inn for Podenca Ana. Not a single asoc. in the area will accept Ana for she is a podenca.. who wants to adopt one of those? With a broken leg! Even worse it means money. MANY WOULD ADOPT A PODENCA IF THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE LIKE. Doors close for Ana.

ANA UNA PODENCA RESCATADA POR ROSEMARY DESPUES DE MUCHOS MESES EN VALENCIA. ANA LA PODENCA ESTABA COJA, Y IMPOSSIBLE DE TOCAR, COMO MUCHOS. Y MAS CON UNA HERIDA COMO LA DE ANA TIENE. SU PIERNA A TRAS ESTA ROTA. DEJADO EN EL CAMPO ROSEMARY EMPEZO DE DEJAR COMIDA ELLA VENIA A COMER TODOS LOS DIAS PERO NINGUNA ASOC. SE ENCARGABA DE COGER LA. PORQUE? Rosemary continues to place food. One day pups are with her (her story is found on this blog below) Rosemary found homes for the pups, and thanks to a male dogs arrival and "befriending Ana" Rosemary caught her. I may add and rescued the male at the same time. Thanks to Galgo News, Rosemary got in touch with us and with no more news on the poor Podenca with the broken leg, Dioni sets out to cellect her 6 hours away from here. 12 hours later they arrive home and Ana joins 112 carlota galgos.

Galgo rescue international (www.galgorescue.org) has sent an emergancy fund for Ana to help towards her resuce and curing of her leg. its a long process and she has already been to the clinic many times. Without such help, we could not do what we do.

GRIN (www.galgorescue.org) ha enviado un asistencia para ayudar en el rescate de Ana. Ya ella ha sido varios veces en la clinica como os cuento abajo. Manipulacion de musculo, y para tratar la infeccion que sigue. gracias a GRIN podemos hacer lo que hacemos.

Ana has been back and forth to the vets for a reocurring infection. Unless the leg is clean from infection it makes it harder to operate. However in ten days she will be operated on. At the moment its hard to say if her leg will be amputated, we are trying everything so it is not. The break is a very old break and the bones have come together, in order to re break this it would be very tough. She has already been in under aneasthetic for manipulation of the muscles as they are all knotted up and there is tendon damage. The right decisions are made at the right time.

ANA HA ESTADO EN LA CLINICA MUCHAS VECES POR INFECCIONES. SI LA PIERNA ESTA LIMPIA DE INFECCION SE PUEDE OPERAR. EN DIEZ DIAS LO VAMOS HACER. LA ROTURA ES ANTIGUA, Y ESTA SOLDADO SOLO, PARA ROMPER LO DE NUEVO SERIA DIFICIL. SI TENEMOS QUE AMPUTAR LO HACEMOS PERO INTENTAMOS CON TODO ANTES. YA ELLA HA SIDO EN QUIROFONO/DORMIDA PARA MANIPULAR LOS MUSCULOS QUE ESTAN DAÑADOS.

Ana is bearing up well, I even see her playing she has adjusted to her new life as a rescued dog and I am so thankful Rosemary persisted. One day, like Lucy Ana will experiance the love of a family. A sofa, a bed all to her own. In the meantime we will do what we can for her, and keep you posted.

Diana Adopted to Maria Angeles

Home sweet home!

Diana a galga rescued from a pound where she had been left by her owner. A VET! Breaking the promise that a vet makes to care and treat animals she leaves her galga in a pound abandoned.Only on the clause that on adopted she can be taken to her for her changing of chip. That does not make it any better, only trying to ease her consiousness. Diana, a 4 year old galga who had clearly hunted, had muscles on her hind quarters of sheer running. No doubt seeing the end to her career, was no longer needed. Or tired. we found Diana as tired, shaking all over her body and completely blocked of any personality at all. Life had let her down.

Well no more! 112 carlota galgos stepped in and took Diana, it took time to win her confidance but when we did, boy did it feel good. She shook all over, had a heart murmur, and was tired. At 112 carlota galgos she was allowed to "just be" and its here Maria Angeles found her. These days, her shaking is to a minimal if at all. She loves being at home with her adopted brother "a cat" and just her new mama Maria Angeles. Thankyou for taking this special galga Maria Angeles. She needed you.

Diana.. una galguita rescatada de una perrera miserable. dejado alli por su dueña, veterinaria. rompiendo todo las promesas una veterinaria debe hacer en su trabajo, para mejorar la vida de un animal, y por detras dejando su galga en la perrera. ???????? Excusas no hay!

Una galguita de 4 años, claramente ha corrido con los musculos que tenia, y estaba cansada. Con un soplo en el corazon y todo su cuerpo templando. sin caracter. tirado, la vida se ha dejado y estaba desconfiada.

Pues nada mas, 112 carlota galgos fue por ella, hemos dejado a Diana a su tiempo dandole empujones cuando era necesaria. Con un miedo a los niños impresionante. Su cuerpo entera templando de miedo. Diana estaba con nosotros a su tiempo, a nuestro rutina. Y se al final, ganamos su confianaza. Yo sabia que ella necesitaba una persona especial. Pues aqui es donde Maria Angeles se enamoro de ella. Ya no tiembla, tiene un hermoso hermano "gatito" y su mama en casa. Es todo lo que hemos prometido a Diana, una persona especial quien puede dedicar su tiempo a la princesa, quien saca la mejor y quien puede contnuar con nuestro trabajo. .. ofreciendo una "para siempre feliz" a una galguita tan especial. Greyhounds in Need have supported the following galgos in their veterinary care. This consists of from rescue their blood work, vaccinations, castrations, passports, frontline, wormers, in order for a galgo to be placed in Adoption.
I am so greatful for the help received on behalf of these galgos because it makes everything so much easier in knowing we have received back up and support. Greyhounds in Need have just offered 112 Carlota galgos further assistance in the future rescues which we take in.
We work on a small basis, caring for as and how we can. The galgos that come to us need help and rehabilitation and this is done on a personal level in that the galgos are walked twice daily, cleaned, fed and each personality assessed to their individual needs.
Some are lucky and find forever homes sooner rather than later, and some have to wait. In that we trust that one day they will all find their forevers, in perfect timing. Some need more time with us, and others are blessed in that they recover relatively quickly. The routine we offer helps normalise the galgos, and the stability of routine, sets them up for their future homes.

BRUNO.. still awaits a "special home" with understanding that he has to be an only dog and wear a muzzle while out with other dogs. He can be dominant, but has scars which could be the result of an attack, being used as a fightting dog, .. while he adores his family of galgos and us he shares a stable with he can jump forward in agression. This can be worked on, but needs a special parent figure. Tranquil, calm, docile, walks well on the lead, caring and loving. He has a flaw in that when he sees something he can jump forward in defence.

Halo.. rescued from Jerez with Mariposa. Here together. Mariposa has a wonderful family who adopted her locally. Halo still waits. A caring galgo who just wants to play, walks well on the lead and still waits his forever. He can be dominant but he has turned from a "turned off" galgo, to a happy playful one. Are you his forever?

Angela Angelica podenca.. still awaits her forever. Calm quiet, can piddle on the floor in fear still. Angela has been with us a long time and so needs her forever. Mariposa.. a stunning galga with half a tail. Adopted to a beautiful family locally. Her family photos are lower on this blog page. A happy galga, dumped by her galguero, no longer needed as she had left behind new blood for next years hunt. Why half a tail? We don't know. can only imagine! She is loved by her family, and even has a brother a PARROT!

Angela Angelica todavia esta esperando su para siempre. Tranquila. buena, pero puede qyue se haca peepee en el suelo por miedo todavia. Es mas buena. Cariñosa. Angela lleva mucho tiempo esperando su "para siempre" ella te esta esperando.

Mariposa.. adoptado por una familia tan bonita. Aqui por nuestro zona. Una familia quien quiere a Mariposa por todo lo que es. Con la mitad de la cola. Porque? podemos adivinar. Dejad por su galguero, que ya no hace falta tener la. Ella hecho un buen trabajo dejando nueva sangre para el año que viene. Cachorros quitado.. se encontro en la perrera. Pues nada mas de ver la, su familia se enamoro de ella. Incluso tiene un hermano adoptivo un LORO! Y el dice Adios Mariposa cuando sale a pasear.

Here is Greta's story from the beginning. If you have the time to read it, it will give you an idea of just what work is involved in curing a galga, what they go through and how we help them.
To us, time is of no object, each one can recover in their time. We help them along the way, nudge them when needed, but over all, peace and love will reign in their lives from when they join us and see, their hell is over.

Greta was later on fostered by Beryl and David Brennan (www.galgonews.com) On a visit from Pat and Steve they took Greta home with them for Beryl to collect.
Greta had after several fall throughs an adoption awaiting her in the UK. Sally had fallen for her and Greta went to Beryl until January when the new law of entry into the UK would be passed and she could enter without quarentine.

Gretas life since rescue has drawn her alot of fans and support, many have reached out to her and wished her well. Bit by bit Greta became acostomed to home life as oppose to a stable, but her behaviour was young, and clueless in confusion as to what was expected of her now.
She became destructive in chewing. Despite chewing through doors and taking pictures of walls, she was in the best place possible. Beryl and David just took it all in their stride, not so many would. Amazing fosterers of many a galgo and podenco their patience was incredible.
Toilet training began and Greta loved her long walks with her new fostered family of galgos. One in particular Floyd.

Sadly we received news that Sallys Irish setter was taken critically ill and needing alot of care and attention. Gretas adoption was cancelled much to Sally's sadness. These things can happen, and dogs we understand. Gretas learning to home life would not work with a convalescent needing rest.

Whats interesting is that on the link on Galgo News, Owen makes a comment below that some day she will find her happiness near or far from Spain. Well as it happens, Greta has just done that. For Owen stepped forward on the news of Greta being available for adoption again and the process began.

Greta was collected from Beryl and David by Owen and Annie. She lives in the UK now with 2 other galgos. Loved and cherished, for all she is worth this family is complete for what was clearlt meant to be, has been.
Greta now Isobel, Bella has a new life. All we ever promised her. When I looked into her eyes that first day and I made her a promise, it has been fulfilled.

My sincerest thanks to Beryl and David, for their "ruined" doors.. their patience with Greta. For them extending their family to her, her needs and teaching her home life and just how it works.

Thankyou to all who have taken Greta to heart, she even has a galga named after her in Slovenia from a special family.
A special Galga, touching hearts of people. The same race as those who gave her pain and suffering. It doesnt bare to think.. but we, we continue in our work, in the lesson of life and that we will never give up. Each galgo or podenco who crosses into the doors of 112 carlota galgos is assessed, cared for according to their needs and becomes part of our family. The most punished, rejected, and unloved, at 112 carlota galgos we reverse that to them feeling the most related to, included in, and loved.

Little Lucy was rescued of a train track by Susanna. A tiny 7 kilo Podenca in need. Disreguarded of, had puppies somewhere, nowhere to be seen. Most likely the galguero kept them and threw her out. The nights cold, and hunger in her stomach made rescue easy for Susanna. Lucy was done with street life and lay down on the track. Susana scooped her and called me. We took her no worry. The only problem is that we have big dogs big galgos and she took the brunt of their control.
Lucy was attacked which has never happened at the stables, but can happen as we all in rescue know.
As Lucy took to recovery she adapted well to her own stable with podenca Angela Angelica, and the girls became great friends.

Friday was Lucys day of freedom. It came via help of an asociation Podenco World who stepped up for little Lucy in her time of need. How proud we are to have received help from them. To meet Alie who acompanied Lucy to her foster family, on the flight she went as hand luggage, in style!
Thankyou so very much for your help with Lucy.
She is so deserving and such a faithful friend who will love and be loved forever more.

Los refugios de animales suelen ser un santuario para todo ser vivo, un lugar en el que los animales pueden estar a gusto y protegidos a la espera de una adopción. Pero en algunas ocasiones estos supuestos refugios son verdaderos infiernos.

Terracan, situado en un pueblo de Ferrol, es uno de estos “refugios de animales" en el que sus habitantes sobreviven encerrados en condiciones aberrantes. Los perros son dados en adopción sin contrato, sin chip, sin vacunas y sin realizar seguimiento alguno; los animales viven en chabolas o a la intemperie entre ratas de 25 a 30 cm., bolsas de basura, carne podrida y restos de "compañeros" enterrados... Además, muchos de los perros que figuraban en la página de Terracan como adoptados tuvieron un destino fatal: están muertos, ya que algunos animales se mataban entre ellos y los responsables del “refugio” ocultaban estos datos.

Frente a esta situación, Maria José, una vecina de la zona preocupada por el estado de estos animales, decidió crear una petición en Actuable pidiendo al Ayuntamiento de Ferrol que investigue las condiciones de este lugar y decrete su cierre y el traslado de los animales una vez comprueben las inhumanas condiciones en que los mismos son mantenidos.

En julio del 2.011 las chabolas se incendiaron, y tras conocer que 20 perros murieron abrasados, España entera se volcó en ayudar al refugio enviando donativos económicos, mantas, cunas de perros, comederos, comida, collares, material de obra... Incluso mucha gente se acercó para ofrecerse como voluntaria.

Pero esa ayuda jamás fue aprovechada para mejorar el estado de los animales y a día de hoy todo sigue igual: seres vivos encerrados en chabolas, basura por todas partes, ratas, ratas y más ratas.

Esta situación tiene que acabar de inmediato. No podemos tolerar que un supuesto refugio de animales funcione impunemente como un infierno en el que éstos viven hacinados en condiciones infrahumanas.

Firma ahora para pedir al Ayuntamiento de Ferrol que tome de inmediato cartas en el asunto y proceda a la revisión y cierre de este horrible lugar >>

Si los Miles de socios leyeran estos carteles y descubrieran que aquello es justo lo contrarío de lo que debería ser....
Si los miles de socios leyeran estos carteles (que cada uno de nosotros vamos a pegar en las calles de Sevilla) Hay Muchas Posibilidades de que esta injusticia salga a la Luz y La perrera de Mairena empezara a tener serios problemas económicos para mantenerse abierta.
Si los que estamos en este mundo de las adopciones No pegamos estos Carteles o hacemos algo Ya, Estaremos siendo complices.
Porque para hacer algo malo no es necesario ser el torturador, Basta con saberlo y no hacer nada para evitarlo.

La gente de Sevilla Pidamos a nuestros familiares y amigos a trabes de Eventos en Facebook y Twenty que impriman unos cuantos carteles informativos y los peguen entre los dias 1 al 5 de Cada Mes en los sitios que frecuentan diariamente.

Peguemos los carteles informativos en: calles céntricas de Sevilla, Universidades, institutos, paradas de bus,edificios cercanos a clínicas veterinarias,bares de conocidos, farolas de calles muy transitadas, diputación,......todo lo que se nos ocurra a cada uno.
Peguemoslos en los edificios que hay junto a la clínica veterInaria que La sociedad Protectora tiene en la calle Hesperides, que es uno de los sitios donde mas socios pueden verlos, y lo mismo con la que tienen en el pueblo de Camas.

Si no hacemos esto mucha gente a la vez.....de poco servirá.
Pero si cada cartel que pegamos lo hacemos sabiendo que dar esta información a la gente de a pie puede hacer que los de la perrea de Mairena pierdan miles de socios....entonces lo conseguiremos entre todos.

Si no sabes de que te hablo...Has estado alguna vez en las instalaciones de la sociedad protectora de Sevilla situada en la Finca Peralata (Mairena del Aljarafe) ?
Alli a cada persona que acude para dejar un perro, creyendo que aquello es una protectora, le dicen que alli no les sacrifican, que solo lo hacen en caso de animales enfermos o ancianos....y claro...la gente que no conoce la realidad de aquello....les cree.

Les cobran 45€ y les aseguran que de alli solo desaparecerá cuando alguien lo adopte....
Si estas personas que acuden alli a dejar un animal supieran que nada está más lejos de la realidad....
Si los Miles de Socios que llenan los bolsillos de estos sinverguenzas,de esta Sociedad Limitada, de esta empresa sin escrúpulos, supieran que en las instalaciones hay:
Perros vomitando sangre contagiando a perros sanos que acaban de llegar, perritos de talla pequeña que son destrozados a bocados por perros grandes, que se les alimenta en el suelo entre diarreas y vómitos,que son empapados con las mangueras que limpian aunque sea pleno invierno y estén muertos de frío, que se les mata con Anectina para ahorrarse dinero causando una muerte horrible con una larga agonía y que todo lo que alli ocurre queda impune y las decenas de denuncias que tienen puestas no han servido para nada porque el presidente de este horrible sitio es un personaje con influencia y poder......

The del Rio Family says goodnight to Oreo.
After 12 years of love, its the end of an era for us. Oreo has been over the last few years, fighting an intoxication of hepatitis, liquid on his lungs, and a bad heart. His body slowly becoming more and more inflammed but didnt suffer pain. Its a long process, with no solution.

Recently Oreo became worse, and became blind. Confused at times, and disorientated. Yesterday he bled from his nose, and so the decision was made to say goodnight, there began a time where quality of life becomes questionable, and we owe Oreo peace after his entire life loving us. He has watched us work, welcomed galgos into our home and always made way for their entry. I pray from where he is now, he offers that same wisdom to those on Rainbow bridge.

There is a vacancy in our hearts, which no other will fill. Oreo we rescued from the market, no bigger than the size of an Oreo cookie. He knew nothing but love. A part of our family from the first week we moved here.

Tainted with love, we left the clinic to take Angela to a house visit.. straining in our hearts to offer her what we have just lost, the love in our life.

Dear Oreo - we loved you, we cared for you, but you offered us your life, your trust and we thankyou for that, for gracing our lives with your love and protection.
Rest in Peace Oreo - you will always be in our hearts.

Despues de 12 años de amor y cariño es el fin de una era. Nuestro Oreo lleva varios años luchando con hepatitis del higado, liquido en los pulmones, y su corazon llevando la carga de todo. Es un enfermedad sin solucion porque va intoxicando el cuerpo, poco a poco. Inchando la bariga, y cuerpo. Ciego ya, y a veces confuso sabiaemos que su tiempo con nosotros estaba terminado.

Hemos rescatado a Oreo del mercadillo, al tamaño de una galleta de Oreo. La amor de la familia. Hemos ofrecido nuestro familia a Oreo desde la 1º semana que hemos mudado a Malaga.
Nuestros corazones estan huecos, ningun otro puede llenar este sitio. Ayer Oreo empezo a sangrar por la nariz, y estaba disorientado. Asi el no pude seguir. Nuestro promesa es cuidar y amar hasta el final, y Oreo se ha dormido en paz.

Os quiero Oreo, ahora y para siempre.
Querido Oreo, tu nos has querido mucho, nos han orecido proteccion, compañia, tu vida, y gracias por todo.

My mornings has been spent with princess ana amongst the troup. They accepted her well, they always do, for they all know that before they entered in as new. Ana is an absolutely stunning pod with amber eyes and an untrusting look. Hungry for affection, and at 112 carlotagalgos stables we are not short of that. Im pretty sure she will need a leg operation, but she will see the vets soon. Right now the change is hard..the wild to confinement and humankind who have been responsible for her pain and lack. Here we make a promise of love recovery and a home of her own. Shes looking at me now as i write this with eyes of who are you? But she will come through as routine kicks in and she will see here she will only gain. Welcome aboard ana .. We will see you through and our arms are open. We will heal your leg and your broken heart. Welcome to a step clloder to a new life of your own, your forever. Rosemary, thankyou for your endurance in this rescue, your faith to continue in hope for her, she is free now free from fear. In galgo affection, always.

Esto es lo que te encuentras si vienes a mi " querida " tierra......... y este video no contiene nada fuerte , ni imágenes duras, es solo una pequeñísima muestra de la realidad.

La realidad es que vayas donde vayas, en cuanto sales de tu casa comienzas a ver galgos abandonados por todos sitios, por la calle, por el campo, carreteras, autovías.... y excepto las protectoras de animales y demás gente particular dedicados en exclusiva a intentar ayudarlos que hace el resto de la sociedad para remediarlo ?, los ayuntamientos y demás autoridades, fuerzas de seguridad, federaciones .....????? NADA .

Y todavía las federaciones de caza y de galgueros dicen que "esto son hechos aislados" ................

Well written Lidia. Lidia works tirelessy to help any dog which comes via her path. Lidia has a good soul and yet its so hard to see such trauma and constantly feel helpless. The facts are such.. until a law changes this, we will continue to see such destruction in lives of hunting dogs, and ourselves for everytime we see such pain we suffer. This is how they live, and this is how we live.

MARIPOSA GOES HOME!

After a whirlwind week with little Lucy and her struggling, to which I add she is ok after yesterday having to be resewn again. But today, is Mariposas day.

We rescued Mariposa some months ago from Jerez. With half a tail, she was unaware of her lack. From somehow, some reason she was missing half her tail. Her beauty lied in her eyes and her friendship. She came having recently given birth, clear signs from her teats and well hey, a mother having served her purpose she was disreguarded of. Sr.galguero your clear "lack" is our gain. A wonderful galga with a good heart. In the beginning we saw aggressiveness a sign of leave me alone. A sign of thats what she has had. In no time at all Mariposa has learnt to see joy, feel caress and liked it. She hung on our hugs, our cuddles as if it was gold.

Well, Mariposa not long ago was spotted by a family in Malaga. We visited the family and well, Mariposa was made well at home. On completetion of everything, Mariposa has been adopted to a wonderful family who adore her and have been waiting for her.

In this rescue world most days are a struggle, but when you see the joy a galga offers a family, it makes it worthwhile.

Sweet Mariposa, we promised you love, and wings to fly, and now you see that a new life offers you all we promised. In the arms of your new family you will feel eternal love and protection.

We wish you so much love and luck, we are always here for you princess and family, and we wish you a wonderful Christmas altogether.

Meet Mariposa, she is stunning isnt she? Angela Angelica is like me, a podenca Charl said. Angela looks after me as well. When it gets rough with the big ones she comes to sniff me and lick me.

This is Halo, a gentle giant!

Niebla, the love in Sofias life, she walks with us all on our wakls morning and nights. She is guarding where we walk and always always comes with us. Our guardian Angel, and when Sofia is walks with us she stays right by our side. I feel very lucky, my life has changed.

Meet Little Lucy. Rescued of a train track last wednesday. A tiny tiny figure of a podenca. Much smaller than mary was - those who knew Mary. She has erect ears and is the sweetest little dollop of sugar! She is tiny, and full of love. Easy to scoop up in your arms and she loves being held like a baby. She walks well on the lead, has recently had puppies and clearly been dumped as her babies will serve for the next seasons hunt! Lucy weighs just 7 kilos. She is tiny in the midst of Galgos, but she holds her own. She eats well, infact she has stuffed herself, hungry and thirsty she slept and slept. Now, she is curious, wants to be by your side, takes tiny steps and is the most adorable podenca. she is approx 2 years of age and has reached her full growth. A treasure of a podenca, Sr.galguero, your loss is so much our gain. Welcome little one to the world of rescue, to the promise of a family of your own. For true love and warmth. Tests, vaccinations to be confirmed and sterilisation in a 2 weeks, due to her arriving in season. A real treat of a podenca she has so much to offer.

Rescatada de un vial de tren. Una podenquita de solo 7 kilitos. una cosita de amor, pendiente de mi lado, super dulce como azucar. ella ha tenido el mal entendimiento de forzado en tener bebes. Se ve que hace poco se ha criado su familia, ya que no vale.. los cahchorros guardado para el año que viene.. se ha tirado la madre. Pobre Lucy. Bueno, sr galguero lo que no vale para ti, para nosotros es un bendicion. Lucy ya sabes que es amor, cariño y su camita calentita.
venia en celo, asi que queda para esterilizar la, la semana que viene se vacuna hacemos pruebas.. aqui puedes ver Lucy con su nueva familia de patas durante su paseo en el sol. Ella le encanta estar cogiedo en brazos como un bebe.

In Badajoz SIERRA DE TENTUDIA, on the 15 Noviembre 2011 a school group were walking the sierra and they found a poor poor soul, a galgo hanging in the cold of the woods. Where he had suffered his end at the hands of his galguero. Payment for service, payment for now not being needed, death by hanging! Playing the piano is the terminology.

En badajoz, SIERRA DE TENTUDIA el 15 Noviembre 2011 un grupo de escolares fue a la sierra y se han encontrado con el pobre galgo ahorcado en un arbol. Aqui es donde el se ha pagado el precio por ser galgo en España, donde se pago el precio por su servicio a su galguero, dejado alli tocando el piano! Asi se llaman la muerte en el mundo de galgueros!

Señor Galguero!

Señor galguero, he estado hoy sentado esperándole, mientras pasaba el tiempo y el hambre aumentaba. No vino usted, y eso que los que aquí estamos tememos sus pisadas. Podría traernos de esos mendrugos de pan por los que tenemos que pelear, aunque preferiríamos que hubiera para todos, claro.

Hace frío aquí dentro esta noche, y el suelo está húmedo. No puedo sentarme ni puedo echarme, pero por usted, amo mío, esperaré en el frío y sufriré el hambre. La última vez que le vi, vino y se llevó a mi madre. Todavía espero su regreso, pero no ha vuelto. No lo entiendo, señor galguero, porque soy un buen galgo y me esfuerzo todo lo que puedo.

¿Me puede devolver a mi madre, que la echo muchísimo de menos, y ponerla con los que estamos aquí encadenados y entre rejas? ¿Puede devolvérmela, señor galguero, que la echo de menos, y a cambio haré todo por usted? Viene la mañana y es imposible que pueda hacer más frío; mi cuerpo tiembla y me muero de hambre. Me duelen los huesos si intento sentarme, pero por usted, señor galguero, no me quejaré.

Al llegar el amanecer, oigo voces conocidas y chirría la puerta al abrirse. Pienso: “Hoy vamos a jugar”. No entiendo por qué está usted tan enfadado con todos nosotros; su bota ya me ha tirado al suelo más de una vez, y ahora le veo enfadado con la galga blanca guapa de la esquina. Yo no la he visto hacer nada malo, pero, aunque ella está sufriendo, hoy no me toca a mí.

Se abre la puerta y nos mandan a todos meternos en la caja con ruedas. El barro está resbaladizo y cuesta subir al diminuto remolque. Señor galguero, ¿se le olvidó poner una alfombrilla para sentarnos? Por usted, señor, me sentaré con los demás; así, apretándonos, nos abrigamos. Llegamos al campo y es la hora del juego, corremos y buscamos, y nos mandan coger a la liebre que cruza corriendo el campo. A la galga blanca guapa, la que se llevó la bota, le está costando conseguirlo, porque está coja y sangra.

Señor galguero, le oigo reír y animar, y no lo entiendo. Hoy tengo frío, y mucha, mucha hambre. Corremos por el campo y se me hace una eternidad. La galga blanca guapa no ha podido mantener el ritmo y se ha quedado atrás, intentando no perderse. No te han esperado, galga blanca guapa; yo lo he intentado, pero el señor galguero me ha pegado con un palo y estoy tiritando, y ahora tengo que correr más rápido. Lo siento, galga blanca guapa.

Al final de este larguísimo día tengo muchísima hambre, me siento vacío y destrozado, estoy cansado y débil. ¿No corrí lo bastante rápido, amo? Hice todo lo que pude. Volvemos en la caja, sin la galga blanca, y nos tiran a nuestra covacha, con sus cadenas y hierros. Nos tiran una barra de pan que está verdosa y azulada, pero la cogen los más grandes y los más rápidos antes que el resto. Mi hambre sigue ahí.

Señor galguero, que se ríe con los otros hombres, ¿se ha olvidado de mi parte? Me he portado bien hoy, porque no me he quedado atrás, como la galga blanca. Me he portado bien, ¿verdad, señor galguero? No le he cazado yo el almuerzo, pero he corrido cuanto me han permitido mis patas, todo por usted, mi amo. La noche es más fría que ninguna otra noche, y el suelo de fuera está cubierto como de nubes blancas que crujen. Está todo helado, y no he vivido lo bastante para saber qué es esa cosa. Mi madre me lo habría explicado. ¿Dónde se fue, que no ha vuelto? Oigo pisadas otra vez y me encojo con miedo. Espero que traigan comida para mi estómago vacío.

Hoy me toca a mí solo. El señor galguero me agarra por el collar, tira y me da una paliza por no haber sido tan buen galgo como creía. Camino cojeando por la hierba blanca y crujiente y nos adentramos en el bosque. Creo que este es un día especial, porque estamos solos, y espero poder cogerle el almuerzo, si me lo permite mi debilidad. Llegamos a una zona de árboles apartada y huelo un olor que no reconozco, pero me es familiar el cuerpo que hay junto al árbol. Señor galguero, ¿qué hace ahí, puesta de esa forma? Tengo frío y hambre, no sé por qué estamos aquí; huele mal.

El señor galguero me pone un cable alrededor del cuello y yo espero sentado pacientemente, porque quizá hoy el paseo sea más largo. Tirito porque estoy helado y casi no siento mi cuerpo del frío. De pronto ata una cuerda al cable. No lo entiendo, pero el árbol se está acercando, igual que lo tiene cerca la galga del otro árbol. Me veo izado y empiezo a patalear; no puedo apoyar las patas delanteras en el suelo y el cable me está haciendo daño en el cuello. Señor galguero, ¿qué es lo que pasa, que no puedo respirar? Le oigo decir: “toca el piano, galgo”, y no lo entiendo. Él se va, diciendo: “¡Hay muchos más como tú!”

Lo intento, lo intento y lo sigo intentando, pero no puedo alcanzar el suelo. El dolor del cuello es muy intenso y no puedo respirar. El cable me corta la piel. Corre cálida sangre por mi cuello, y me sale también por la boca, ahogándome. Yo fui un buen galgo; me esforcé al máximo, solo que no pude estar a la altura de los otros. Estoy pataleando y mis patas traseras están débiles, porque son lo único que me tiene en pie. Llevo aquí horas; me rindo, señor galguero. Quizá estoy dando la vida por usted.

Cierro los ojos, y en la distancia veo una imagen de lo más hermoso, reluciente y elegante, con un resplandor blanco alrededor. Mira hacia la distancia como la otra que hay en el árbol. Se acerca a mí, cada vez más. Ha vuelto al fin, después de todo, mi madre, mi preciosa madre. Me dice que ya pasó lo malo, que el señor galguero se ha ido y vamos ahora hacia el “puente del arco iris”, donde ya no sufren los galgos, donde somos todos felices y corremos en libertad.

¡Ven a verlo! Cierro los ojos mientras se pone el sol. He luchado todo el día por quedarme con mi amo y ha durado hasta ahora la lucha. Ya soy libre; no siento dolor y mi madre dice que miraremos desde aquí hacia abajo y ayudaremos a la buena gente a intentar salvar a más galgos que necesitan ser rescatados. Seremos como ángeles de la guarda desde lo alto.

Adiós, señor Galguero.

El año pasado se abandonaron más de 50.000 galgos. La crueldad continúa. Mientras siga la caza de liebres con galgos, seguirá la matanza y las cifras crecerán.

Este es Jacko , el último miembro de mi manada.

El Sábado 12 de Noviembre recibí una llamada telefónica de la protectora , la policia les avisaba de que un hombre había encontrado a un perro dentro de un pozo de más de 5 metros de profundidad.

Ellos no podían acudir en ese momento porque estaban en la frontera llevando unos perros para sus adoptantes, y el pobre perro necesitaba ayuda urgente, no podía quedarse hasta el día siguiente allí metido.

La maldad de la gente no tiene límites, a Jacko lo habían tirado vivo al pozo para que muriese allí !!, ese perro no pudo caerse solo , es un perro inteligente y el pozo es grande , alguien lo tiró.

Por la profundidad del pozo la policia avisó a los bomberos, era muy peligroso bajar sin su ayuda.

Cuando el bombero y yo bajamos a por él se volvió loco de alegría, nos abrazaba, nos daba besos, estaba tan alegre de encontrar gente, él sabía que íbamos a ayudarlo !!.

Milagrosamente Jacko no tiene nada roto, supongo que debió caer primero en un saliente que había y después al fondo, porque los bomberos confirmaron que su profundidad era de más de 5 metros.

Ahora Jacko está en casa , es muy sociable con los demás perros, y encantador con las personas.

Es un macho , raza husky de unos 4 ó 5 años y se recupera de su deshidratación y desnutrición rapidamente. Está tan agradecido que me sigue a todas partes !.

AYUDAMÉ A ENCONTRARLE UNA FAMILIA A JACKO, MERECE UNA SEGUNDA OPORTUNIDAD !!!.

Lidia yet again to the rescue with the fire brigade. Lidia had been called from another asoc. who were busy taking dogs to the border. The police had called and informed of a dog "thrown down in a well left to die" more than 5metre deep the well plunged into darkness. The poor dog, someones dog, thrown away without a care in the world. HOW do these people walk away from their cruel act and sleep at night? HOW do they live with themselves?

Lidia and the firebrigade went down the well and rescued jacko. A husky dog who now follows Lidia around all day. Naturally greatful, for dogs are. Betrayed by the hands of humankind, and rescued from the hands of humankind. A forgiving dog accepts its rescue and despite being thrown away left to starve to death it appreciates everything it has.

Jacko is in adoption. He deserves a second chance with an owner who will love him forever. Someone who will dedicate to his happiness and show him humankind can have hands which love and care.

Canela a sweet podenca who was rescued the night of the 31st August 2011.. of the streets where she had been hanging around for most of her life. Been spotted here and there, swift on her feet unable to be touched. Unable to be rescued, fed by kind people on the street who had a heart for Canela. Named by Paola a young girl who took her under her wing. Laying food for her, unsure of what was best for her, until 112 carlota galgos rescued her and took her in. Canela had been spotted in the town above where we rescued her, a ghost to the streets, on her tiny feet.
Well Canela, you touched more than one of us. Your humble ways and gentle soul just allowed us to look after you. Confused at our love, your new routine and being allowed to be just "you!" No rush, no fear, food and care.. and then to your forever family.
You will remain in our hearts Canela, and we look forward to your new stories.

Canela, una podenca dulce, rescatada durante la noche de 31 Agosto 2011... en las calles donde estuvistes vagabundiando durante mucho de tu vida. la habian visto por todos los sitios, rapida con sus patas e imposible de tocarle. sin poder de rescatar la y alimentada en la calle por buena gente. Nombrado por Paola una chica joven quien todos los dias dejaba pienso para Canela. 112 Carlota Galgos venia y rescato a Canela de la calle.

Bueno Canela, has tocado muchos corazones, super cariñosa y dulce. Nos han dejado cuidar te confusado sobre el amor y cariño hemos ofrecido, por esto no era nada que tu conocia antes. Hemos dejado canela encontrar a ella misma, sin prisa, sin miedo, y con alegria. Y ahora, ya tienes tu "para siempre" tienes una familia para ti!

The day she came to 112carlota Galgos

GRETA
ccCame to us a terrified Galga, a galga in turmoil scared of her ownshadow. A Galga who wouldnt walk, her fear consuming her unable to walk for her past had led her to be distroyed inside, a galga with the saddest eyes Ive ever come across. Her eyes are what impacted me. Those who rescue know not to look in a galgos eyes and confront them, but her eyes were dead, souless, a bottomless pit of sorrow. It really broke my heart.
She impacted us all at 112carlota galgos.

Her first week was hard she wanted the groud, the walls to swallow her up. She lay int he corner on the cement floor, and we would lift her up and raise her onto her bed prepared ready all softy and padded, especially for her. This she could not understand.. she would get off and sit on the floor crouched begging the floor "swallow me!"

The floor did not swallow Greta, and we allowed her for the first time probaly, to "just be!" she watched the goings on around her, the daily routine of her canine friends going for their walks coming in and out, mealtimes and thei joy at seeing us. This was clear Greta had not known.
She watched after week one, with a look of confusion.

After the first week of no force I decided it was time. Tine to show Greta a lead, for she could not be entwined in fear forever. Kind hands exist. Greta froze, she would not walk which is what had been explained to me and so we continued on her therapy. Carrying her outside of the barn, we walked a few steps, albeit by holding her underneath and smoothing her side. Caresses meant everything but confusion ranacross her frown.

having worked with Greta and seeing her behaviour when she began to walk and see traffic, it came clear to me that most likely Greta had been trained attached, to a vehicle. Her panic was immense when she saw the van with Dioni in it.

Since seeing this we have worked hard with Greta to overcome her fears. Now, Greta belongs to the jumps of joy when we enter for their walks, their mealtimes, their bath times and if you dont watch out.. shes inclined to botty nip to tell you "I'm here!" She plays and jumps, but at times when she sees traffic can pull back. Also she cannot still be pulled if you want to walk faster than she does. though she keeps well to pace and does not ever pull.
Greta has a bottom jaw shorter than the top, something we consider special, something a galguero would consider enough reason to dump a galgo for!

She was reserved but sadly through economics and distance the adoption fell. Much to everyones disappointment.

Greta.. a young galga in Adoption, waiting for her forever .. she has learned to open up she just now needs filling with endless love, for the rest of her life. If your eyes shine with love for Greta you could be that person? Shes waiting for you!

Una galga que venia a 112 carlota Galgos congelada de miedo - panico. Aqui ves a Dioni con ella en brazo. Por su miedo no dejaba ella andar por ella misma.
se fue Dioni a recoger la, y desde elli hemos empezado su historia.

Greta tenia ojos con una tristeza, una mirada con ojos bloqueada, como muchos viene pero ella tenia ojos tan tristes, creo lo mas vacios que he visto. Me ha capturado con su mirada y lo promete que iba a intentar llenar sus ojos de esperanza y amor.

Sin saber lo que estaba haciendo alli, ella miraba los demas perros salir a pasear, volver, comer,.. una semana tiraba ella en la esquina se tumbaba en el suelo, le puso en su camita, y otro vez al suelo, otro vez le puso en su cama.
Asi empezo, ella no pude andar con la correa puesta porque le daba un ataque de congelacion... de panico. Realmente, algo ha pasado a esta galga con la correa puesta. Pues despues de una semana dedice que habia que empezar con ella, he dejado una semana para ella, para que pueden estar ella tranquila.. para simplemte "ser!"
En principio ha sido duro para ella, tuve que coger la para salir, despues para que andaba unos pasitos era progreso masiva. Pues, cuando ella veia un vehiculo su historia empezo de abrir paginas de puro panico. Creo que esta galga ha sido entrenado con una tipo de vehiculo. Su panico a ver un vehiculo era increible triste. Con una fuerza se tiraba a tras.. fue impactante.
Hemos trabajado mucho con Greta y ya esta mas normalizada, sale a pasear aun que todavia cuando ver trafico entra panico, ella ha aprendido jugar, y si no tienes cuidado mientras estas de paseo se nota un mordisco de pez en el culo.. es GRETA diciendo "aqui estoy yo!" salta con alegria cuando llegamos para sacar les a pasear, come todo su plato y mas si ella puede - es un amor de galga. Dulce, elegante. Tiene la parte del mandibular abajo mas corto de arriba.. bastante razon para un galguero en dedicir que no vale! es mas guapa, y super tranquila.
Ya, en sus ojos hay luz y brillo. Estamos orgullosos aqui en 112 carlota galgos de Greta, un placer de galga.

Greta tenia una reservacion de adopcion. Este adoption no sale delante, con una pena la distancia y coste es demasiado entonces Greta vuelve en adopcion.

Mis 2 amors, Clara a galga tirado, abandonado, dejado en la perrera el año pasado ya no sirve para su sr.galguero ... LLENO de cicatrices, como muchos Galgos que acaban asi o peor. Temblando con miedo, sin poder de acceptar el humano, bloqueada completamente. Pues asi llevamos meses y meses y meses tratando el miedo de Clara. Todavia queda su pasado en su cabeza, cuando ella ver sombras, hombres, todavia incluso mi hijo mayor de 16 años, y a la madrugada se puede escuchar a ella llorando,... recuerdos de la salida de cazaria. Dios sabe que significa esto para ella, y muchos mas. Nosotros solo podemos imaginar lo que le han hecho a ella.. y esto ni cubre la realidad.

Ha sido amor a la primera vista cuando la veia. Despues de unos meses pues.. aqui la ves, no es una galga de 112 carlota galgos, es una galga de la familia. Esta aqui con nosotros y miembro de la familia. Aqui en estos fotos se puede ver la felicidad de ella con Ambo. Hay que trabajar mas con ella, por algo esta grabado en su memoria, pero seguimos. Ella es preciosa, y estamos super orgullosos de su progreso, ya esta en casa y desde aqui no se mueve!Hermana de Oreo y Ambo.. ya en su casa .

Clara is a galga which was in the perrera, here you can see the photos of her time with us and development .I have to say i loved her from first sight, she drew me in. Clara is a galga who has been hevalily traumatised, covered in scars her passed tells its tale. Like many galgos, they come in bodies shattered, exhausted but with an incredible will to continue to live. Her trauma showed and still does and would freeze or charge bolting backwards at the sight of any man, to the extent if you were not prepared she would pull you over in her fear. slowly as the months have progressed she has learnt to accept love. She has found a way to forgive and open up to us. I am truly proud of that. Her safety shows when she meets others, still bound to that fear she holds of her passed. Waking and crying in the early hours - her passed taunts her, for this would be the hour when Sr.galguero would come for his dogs for the hunting day begins. What does that mean for Clara? For the galgos who suffer the boot, the beatings, the squaushing into the box on wheels so called a "trailer, remolque" a life bound to hell. This is what it means.

Well, for Clara this is over she sits on Ambos chair, she plays with him on the walks we do, and as you can see in the photos jumps like a kangaroo in true found happiness.

THIS is what we work towards for all galgos, all adoptions, and the ultimate goal is freedom for them all!

We love you Clara, home forever!

My thanks to Maite who dedicated her entire morning to helping me at the market raise some funds for 112 Carlota Galgos.

It was a fun morning, we got up at 5am and started the day super early. While it felt like Malaga Slept we joined all those who were early starters to get a good slot for our pitch.

Maite adores Henrietta, however sadly cannot adopt her since Henrietta needs a garden and some outside space to play in but she is at the very heart of Maite.

Celebrating Greyhounds fall edition reports on Galgos in Spain.

112 Carlota Galgos is extremely proud and thankful for the publicity in the fantastic magazine Celebrating Greyhounds.

One of the best times I have ever had in Galgo missions is when we were visited by Telma and Wally from the States exactly one year ago this October. we spent some amazing time together and we visited Saskia in San Anton Cadiz. We stayed at an amazing equine ranch, and spent great quality galgo time with great friends from our counter parts from the States. Strengthening what was already a great friendship and finally putting faces to names. As I say it was one of the very best times I have ever had and I remember it fondly.

Mt best times are with the galgos and was an absolute pleasure to visit Saskia and spend close time with Telma and Wally.

To be written about by Telma in this fantastic magazine "Celebrating Greyhounds" over several pages and photos of our work feels amazing. I am so so proud and the breakthrough and support for the galgos from such a magazine, reaches many a person is truly exciting and amazing.

My deepest thanks to Telma for her great work, for the magazine hearing her voice on behalf of us all here in Spain and the spanish galgo.
"May every galgo have a ray of hope!"

In 112 Carlota Galgos goal there is a chance to make way for change for the plaight of the Spanish galgo.
In education there is improvement! This is fact in every area of life.
We are all aware that children are the future, so we have to be responsible enough to show them the way forward and that change can happen.

112 Carlota galgos is compelled to drive towards educational working on an "Educational centre" and this is the goal we have and will achieve.

This centre will offer hope to the Spanish galgo, aside sanctuary for healing, it will show the way forward for children to recognise the plight or dont even know what a galgo is. I watch my daughter playing with her friends at rescuing galgos, these children wouldnt have previously known about the plight and rescues. However acting it out as a game, interests them and makes them aware. A great job by Sofia who knows only too well just what the plight of the Spanish galgo is.
Working with Greyhounds in Need and introducing their desires to touch peoples hearts, childrens souls regards the plight 112 Carlota galgos will offer their booklet as a route to education. Complete with flash cards and stickers.. 112 carlota galgos and Greyhounds in need steps up and forward for the galgos and children combined. this project and important step in the galgos future, together with Greyhounds in Need. 112 Carlota Galgos tiene muchos deseos para interumpir el maltrato del Galgo Español. Una parte de nuestros planes es abrir un "Centro educativa" seria un centro para que pueden venir los niños de la zona y un sanctuario para los galgos. Aqui introducimos la tema de los galgos y como podemos mejorar el mundo para ellos.
Muchos niños no saben la problema del maltrato pero veo mucho como ellos pueden aprender con acciones. Por ejemplo, cuando mi hija juega con su amigas, juegan a rescate de galgos. Muchos de estos niños ni saben los galgos existe. Buen trabajo Sofia!

España.. tell me why there is such disgrace, such disreguard for the Galgo. I'm asking you Sr.Galguero to explain to me, to others, how you justify this disreguard.
I ask you government properties to explain to me, just how dogs like these are left in hell holes, dumped in slaughter camps because of ruthless breeding.

You cannot tell me canyou? For you have no answer, no response other than to say it doesnt happen, its myth, but here we see otherwise.

Lets talk Crosses!

The plight of the galgos is immense, its is massive throught Spain and creating an influx of galgos accross Europe and the States, well why not for there are far too mnay Galgos saved than there are adoptions for them in Spain.
They are respcted, cherished and loved in other countries so this is the reason why many see themselves in wonderful homes abroad.

The problem is, it just doesnt stop at galgos. MANY a time, a galgo is caught out to have been x with another dog. A podenco perhaps. These crosses as well are surplus to requirements.

So we see the galgos and podencos suffer, but here we see the x suffering more, since they are harder to rehome. Why? Well it's not a pure breed! However it has had the same suffering as a Galgo or podenco and suffers once again at not being a pure breed.. does it make sense? Not to the dog in question. Awaitig its forever home, offering the same love as any othr dog.

While you are thinking about an adoption spare a thought for a galgo or podenco x. For a galgo x podenco offers the best of both breeds, and most of all you are offering a home to a dog who is banished from sight, for being born in Spain!

It never ceases to amaze me the extent that poeple such as Beryl Brennan, husband David and supporters will go to in order to help the Galgo Español from far away.

I have to say I feel humble when I see the effort that is put in from afar to help, people like us help the Galgos.

For us, its a must a part of our everyday life, it's just what we do! It'd be so easy for people far away to say "Ah its sad isnt it!" But for Beryl Brennan and fellow supporters it just doesnt stop there, thoughts become actions and the work involved to create such a show, - this just being one I add, in order to bring light to the Galgos and people involved helping them survive.

Ya know, we couldnt do it without the help and kindness of people like Beryl and supporters, it'd be so much harder. My most deepest thanks to one and all for helping make what looked like a GREAT show!

Me falta palabras a veces para agradecer el labor que hace buena gente como Beryl Brennan, Marido David y la gente quien les ayuda. Desde lejos seria facil de pensar sobre la tema de los galgos "Ah que pena" y cerrar los ojos. Pues aqui veamos que no es asi. Beryl Brennan siempre lleva en su corazon el galgo español y los podencos y los problemas que tenemos aqui para mejorar sus vidas despues del maltrato y cazaria.

This is a letter against the Bull used in the toro de la vega.. the poor bull is run down and knived to death by men on horse back and people on the ground throwing knives at it. It can have many many many knives on him, he is kept in the dark before being allowed out, panic stricken and then over crowded by people in the streets. Tengo en conocimiento la reciente noticia del activista Francisco Vasquez Neira que se ha ofrecido éste año para ser lanceado por su pueblo como sustituto del Toro de la Vega. Y me parece una iniciativa heróica y digna de ser tomada en cuenta.

El animal es obligado a participar, es perseguido y es lanceado hasta la muerte sin entender qué sucede mientras que ésta persona será consciente en todo momento de lo que ocurre, participará de forma totalmente voluntaria ofreciendo su vida a cambio de la de un animal indefenso y su pueblo podrá seguir divirtiéndose con el sufrimiento ajeno.

Razón por la cual les exijo que mediten ahora mi propuesta.

En plenas facultades mentales, siendo mayor de edad y con conocimiento de lo que ello supone, me ofrezco a ser la víctima lanceada éste año como sustitución del toro "Afligido", es la alternativa a la que me veo me obligada como persona sensible al maltrato de animales a hacer.

Sinceramente espero que acepten mi solicitud para ser lanceado y que Afligido no sea obligado.

Twas the night before last and as the sun went down, it was the beginning of a new time for Canela.
For Canela a pure podenca with ears so piercingly stunning and orange eyes,.. who would look at you but fear you.

A bit more than a month or so ago a friend mentioned about a possible Galgo, wandering locally. I knew it couldnt be a galgo since we dont see them wandering the streets here. A podenco yes! I went to drive around on several occasions and asked her to keep an eye out. It seemed to have gone. 3 weeks ago she mentioned to me it had disappeared.. or maybe coming at times when she wasnt there. To no avail, no sighting.

HACE MAS DE UN MES UN AMIGA MIA ME COMENTO QUE HABIA UN POSIBLE GALGO AMBULANDO POR LA ZONA. SABIA QUE NO ERA GALGO PORQUE AQUI NO VEAMOS GALGOS POR LAS CALLES, PODENCOS SI! FUI ALLI MAS QUE UNA VEZ Y MI AMIGA PENDIENTE PERO SE VER QUE SE HA DESAPARECIDO.

Suddenly a lady went into the bar where Lisa works and saw our 112Carlota galgo sign in the bathrooms, she commented to a member of staff about a whippet, they phoned Lisa and she said the lady sounded emotional about the case. She had been feeding it on the other side of where my friend lives. This isnt much distance away, its all urban but wouldnt be possible to sight it from where my friend lives. She told Lisa she feeds the dog but cannot get near it. It only eats when she leaves the food.

DE PRONTO UNA SEÑORA ENTRARON EN EL BAR DE LISA Y SE HA VISTO EL CARTEL QUE TENEMOS DE 112 CARLOTA GALGOS Y COMENTO A UNA CAMARERA SOBRE UN WHIPPET. LE HAN LLAMADO A LISA PORQUE ERA SU DIA LIBRE Y LISA ME COMENTO LA SEÑORA TENIA UN TONO SUPER EMOCIONADA. ESTABA ELLA DEJANDO COMIDA PERO SOLO SALIO LA PERRITA CUANDO ELLA SE LARGABA. ESTE SITIO ERA EN EL OTRO LADO DE DONDE VIVE MI AMIGA PERO DE VISTA NO SE VER. LA ZONA ES TOTALMENTE URBANO.

So Lisa called me and the night before last I decided once finished my Galgo duties, I would just go and take a drive around to see if I saw anything. Again, I knew it wouldnt be a whippet and already had mentioned to Lisa Id put money on it being a podenco.
I rang the bell of the block where my friend lives, its dark and late, but to ask if she had seen anything. We decide to drive around together equipt with famous salchichas.. (hot dogs) and then suddenly just before us at the end of her road,.. a tiny figure of a podenca with huge ears crosses the road with such fear.

LISA ME LLAMO Y CUANDO HE TERMINADO CON MIS TAREAS CON LOS GALGOS, HECHO UNA VUELTA POR LA ZONA. A VER SI LA VEO ALGO. SABIA UN WHIPPET NO ERA, Y HE COMENTADO A LISA LO MISMO. PERO FUE ALLI A VER. HE LLAMADO EL PORTAL DE MI AMIGA, ES DE NOCHE YA PERO PARA PREGUNTAR SI ELLA HA VISTO ALGO? eLLA VENIA CONMIGO EN EL COCHE ACOMPAÑADA CON SALCHICHAS, ... DE REPENTE UNA FIGURA AL FINAL DE SU CALLE CRUZABA.. CHIQUITITA CON OREJAS ENORMES CON EL MIEDO QUE ACOMPAÑADA EL TAMAÑO DE SU OREJAS, ENORME.
Stopping the car I get out and locate where she is, beginning to throw gently the salchichas she comes, closer and closer. But for her, too close would mean threat and while my voice is low, its not enough to convince her quickly. slowly slowly she gets closer and closer. Bit by bit. .. 2 hours later!

All of a sudden way at the end of the road a young girl comes out with her sister about 16, they whistle and she scuttles off to where they have been laying food for quite some time. They cannot get near either, she comes when the food goes down and she moves away. Unable to touch her she is wild to the urban streets.
DE REPENTE VENIA UNA CHICA CON SU HERMANA, JOVENES SILBANDO Y LA PERRITA FUE CORRIENDO HACIA ELLAS. SE PUSO LA COMIDA EN EL SUELO Y LA PODENCA FUE A COMER, ELLAS TAMPOCO NO PUEDE ACERCAR LA, ELLA COME CUANDO ELLAS SE VAN. SALVAJE EN LAS CALLES URBANOS!

Chatting with the girls who are clearly distressed and wonder who I am, and worried for this poor soul. while I continue to catch the podenca my friend explains who I am and that she will be safe. The young girl in tears, concerned about the entire thing. Overwhelmed.
HANBLANDO CON LAS CHICAS QUIEN ESTAN PREOCUPADAS DE QUIEN SOY YO? Y PREOCUPADA PARA LA PERRITA! MIENTRAS QUE YO SIGO CON LA PODENCA MI AMIGA EXPLICO QUIEN SOY Y QUE HACEMOS.

A man and a dog join the group, everyone has been concerned for this podenca everyone emotionally pulled by her urban plight. Like a little fox in danger of being itself. The cars pass, the dog swirls rapidly through them an expert but only for so long.
Since the girls lay food, we decided to opt to walk to their gate where she has also followed them before, along with the man with the dog. In agreeance should she get there we push her in the gate and close rapidly. It worked. Poor Podenca, shivering in fear, unaware she has reached freedom! Poor kind man who helped took a bite from her, the best she could do to defend herself. I was thankful to him and his dog for the help. A good job done.

The young girls had called her Canela, and done their best. We honour that and call her canela, Ela for short.

Ela is a curious colour, she is a grey fawn colour, orange tiny eyes. She has weight on her for urban food helps. What is even more curious, since paco (where we keep our galgos) has seen her, he said he had seen her up in the town.. this a fair journey for tiny legs to travel, and also Susanna who brought me Angela has seen her as well. This little podenca has survived. She has very clean teeth, around 2.

It appears her hair is re-growing. Her skin is in poor condition however it is not sarna. I imagine she has lived rough, really rough, scorched in the summer heat, been low on nutrition until she found her girls and lady who regularly put food down for her wether she came or not. Having food there would encourage new growth. Leishmania is a possibility, this we will test for in a few days.

She is nervous, and at the moment would escape. She is clearly an expert on rough living. Once she has had a few days to settle in, we will start her tests. A few days to observe her treat her intestinal worms, bathe her in correct shampoo for her skin, nourish her and let her know she is ok. We will then begin to prepare her.

Se denunció el caso y ahora ha salido el juicio.

Lo que pretendo es reunir al mayor número de gente para acudir a las puertas del juzgado y hacer una protesta, para que esto no quede impune y que se penalicen estas barbaridades. Acudiremos con pancartas con la foto de la perrita, con frases en contra del maltrato y abandono animal, y a ser posible, también acudirá ADA con su familia.

El Juicio se realizará en un juzgado de un pueblo de Valencia a finales de Septiembre, será por la mañana.

Introducing ALUNA a special Galga Telma her mama and Mike her papa.

Telma and I have been great galgo friends for it feels like many years now to who Ambo adopted as his Auntie.
Mike is Telmas Husband and Alunas papa.

I wanted to write about their love and passion for the Greyhounds in the States but also for the non stop work they do for the galgos.
Telma has begun cycling and here she is having completed 50 miles! Congratulations!!!! Looking stunning in her cycling gear and her precious Aluna.

Telma spends id say everyday thinkingabout the plight of the galgos, how to help, how to help asoc. constantly backing us up, supporting us, not only with economic help which goes without saying feels like a miracle, but with items needed, medication, collars leads. No matter what Telma thinks you need, or you mention she has achieved it.
Many a galgo has travelled to the states to new homes, and Telma accompanied by wally came to spain.

I imagine Telmas next step would be cycling for the galgos!!! Watch this space!

Telma works for GRIN (Galgo Rescue International Network) and also Galgo connection.

The energy offered to us here on the ground is immense, and so appreciated so very very much.

Queria presentar uno de las mejores amigas de los Galgos Telma! Telma todos los dias se dedicar a encontrar maneras de ayudar la genta aqui cuidando a los galgos. De manera economicamente, lo cual es cierto es un ayuda como un milagro. Cuando uno piensa "de donde viene el proximo saco de pienso?" Y llega un donativo de Telma o GRIN pues, te sientas como es un milagro! Este sensacion, es sin palabras. De verdad esto pesa cuando uno esta luchando. Pero no es solo esto, de conversacion si Telma piensa que alguien necesita collares, correas, medicinas, lo que sea, sin saber un dia esta en tu puerta. No hay palabras para agradecer la ayuda, la energia en que Telma se transferir a uno luchando.

Telma de dedica a trabajar con GRIN (galgo rescue international Network) y galgo connection. Todos los dias Telma dedica a buscar maneras para ayudar a nosotros y los Galgos.

En sus momentos libres ella le gusta la bicicleta aqui ves ella tan guapa vestido en ropa de ciclismo y su familia. Acabando de terminar 80km. Enhorabuena! A ver el siguiente paso con su bicicleta!

Greyhounds In Need have helped 112 Carlota Galgos and its our wish to say thankyou to them. In March we had the pleasure of meeting the Greyhounds in Need team in person after years of being in contact with them and racing emails back and forth.
It has been a great help to us their support and attention.

Its not often we get to write about Happy endings, but when we do we just LOVE to!

This is Holly and Faith, rescued from Jerez in December 14th 2010. Adopted by Angela and Peter and their 7 other dogs. 2 galgos, 1 saluki, and 3 greyhounds.
Having prepared a video for this special adoption it is too long to place here, so we will reduce the story and then you can follow through the photos from start to a heppy end.

It feels like a miracle when you see a follow up of an adoption like its completetion. I spent a week with Angela Peter and family, and it was one fo the best weeks Ive ever had. Being received into their family and I loved every minute of being with them. A truly special, unique couple who dediate to the rescue of Greyhounds and Canine welfare. Angela is the founder of Greyhounds West of England.

The green countryside, the mountains and although rainy days at times felt like bliss. Quiet moments with Holly and faith super intergrated into family life, and runs in the fields with the dogs on mass. Little Holly scuttled across the field like Ive never seen her run before. Faith in her glory, just running for fun - because she can!

What an absolute happy ending for these girls, a wonderful home, family, life and one which I feel privaleged to now know and have in our family life.

Great adoptions dont just mean a dog is adopted, it can be the start of bringing people together in the same cause, to better the life of the dog concerned.

I feel so happy that I had this unique chance to be with Angela and Peter, and thank them for all they have done, and all they continue to do for Holly and Faith, and their canine siblings.

This is Angela Angelica, A podenca rescued by Susanna and brought to us to look after her until she finds her forever home. She is negative in mediteranean diseases and due to be sterilised. She is a young podenca, clean inside, and very very sweet. Ive never seen such a loving girl. Poor Angela has had a terrible time over the loss of her babies a horrible infection of mastitis. she is so loving and caring super clean inside, delicate and gentle. Great with children, and just waiting for you.

La recogimos el martes pasado en una gasolinera. Llevaba tirada cerca del lavado de coches dos días, le tiraban comida pero no se atrevian a acercarse a ella. Un camionero la vió y nos llamó desesperado porque había hablado con varios refugios, de la comunidad de Madrid y nadie le hacia caso. Un pitbull, con la cara estrozada.... UFFFFFF!!!!!

WE PICKED HER UP LAST TUESDAY IN A GAS STATION. SHE WAS NEAR THE WASH AREA OF CARS FOR 2 DAYS. THEY THREW FOOD AT HER BUT NOONE DARED TO GET CLOSE. A LORRY DRIVER CONTACTED US IN DESPERATION SINCE HE HAD SPOKEN WITH VARIOS REFUGES IN MADRID AND NOONE REACTED. A PITBULL, WITH HER FACE DESTROYED....UFFFFF!!!!!!

entiendo que es dificil de colocar, pero por encima de todo, ella, DIANA es un perro, no una raza!!!

Nos organizamos con salchichas y pollo asado por si era difícil de coger y nos fuiomos a por ella. Cuando llegamos alli no habia ni rastro, sólo las manchas de sangre en el suelo. Hacía un calor horrible asi que muy lejos no podía haber ido, iniciamos la búsqueda durante cuatro horas, hablamos con mucha gente preguntando si le habían visto y caminamos mucho, pero cuando nos parecía imposible y por un camino muy alejado nos miraron dos ojos asustados entre unos matorrales.

WE ORGANISED HER RESUCE ACOMPANIED WITH HOT DOGS AND CHICKEN INCASE SHE WAS HARD TO CATCH, AND WE WENT ON HER WAY. WHEN WE ARRIVED THERE WAS NOT A TRACE OF HER ONLY STAINS OF BLOOD ON THE FLOOR. IT WAS INSANELY HOT, AND FAR SHE COULDNT HAVE GONE. STARTING THE SEARCH OVER 4 HOURS, SPEAKING WITH LOTS OF PEOPLE INCASE THEY HAD SEEN HER, WE WALKED AND WALKED BUT WHEN WE THOUGHT IT IMPOSSIBLE ON A TRAIL FAR AWAY 2 FRIGHTENED EYES LOOKED THROUGH BUSHES AT US.

Fue una suerte increíble encontrarla. Se dejó acariciar y tocar sin problema.
La subimos al coche y corrimos al veterinario porque el aspecto era horrible. El diagnóstico: quemaduras en un 30% del cuerpo con ácido, úlcera corneal en ojo izquierdo y abrasiones en boca, lengua y paladar, toda la cara, un costado y sus patas.
Le estamos curando cada 6h, con mucho dolor, esperando evolución para desbridamiento quirúrgico y valoración del ojo.

IT WAS INCREDIBLE LUCK TO FIND HER. SHE LET US TOUCH HER WITH NO PROBLEM.WE PLACED HER IN THE CAR AND WENT TO THE VETS AS SHE WAS IN SHOCKING CONDITION. 30% BURNS ON HER BODY FROM ACID, AN ULCER ON HER EYE, (LEFT) - ABRASIONES ON HER MOUTH, TONGUE, ALL OVER HER FACE RIB AND PAWS. WE ARE DRESSING HER WOUNDS EVERY 6 HOURS BUT WITH ALOT OF PAIN. WAITING FOR PROGRESS AND SURGERY ON HER EYE.
Es increíble el dolor que este animal ha tenido que pasar, increíble la soledad y la pérdida!!!!! Los tres primeros días estaba completamente en shock, ahora está contenta y se deja curar sin problema. Le cuesta comer y beber. Escucha regualar, no sabemos si le entró algo de ácido en las orejas, pero sobre todo, mueve el rabito y nos da lametones en cuanto nos descuidamos!!! Está cansada y se va a dormir en su camita en cuanto puede, pero cada rato que pasa es más alegre y más agradecida, es un amor de animal a pesar de su raza y todos los mitos estúpidos que giran en torno a ella.

ITS INCREDIBLE THE PAIN THIS ANIMAL HAS ENDURED, THE ISOLATION AND BEING LOST!!!!! THE FIRST 3 DAYS SHE WAS COMPLETELY IN SHOCK, NOW SHE IS CONTENT AND WE CAN CURE HER WITH NO PROBLEM. ITS HARD FOR HER TO EAT AND DRINK. SHE HEARS JUST, WE DONT KNOW IF ACID WENT INTO HER EARS, ABOVE ALL SHE MOVES HER TAIL AND LICKS US WHEN WE ARE PAYING HER ATTENTION. SHE IS TIRED AND SLEEPS ALOT, WITH EACH STEP SHE IS HAPPIER AND APPRECIATIVE, SHE IS A LOVE OF AN ANIMAL, ASIDE THE STUPID MYTHS THAT SURROUND HER BREED.
Este es el principio de su nueva vida. Ahora necesita UNA FAMILIA!!! Es preciosa, por dentro y por fuera, y a pesar de todo el daño que le han hecho, DIANA no nos guarda rencor, sólo tiene amor hacia nosotros!!!

Los que tienen en sus manos el poder increíble de poder comunicar, denunciar, investigar...¿saben que desde hace 10 años, existe bajo la mirada de toda una sociedad indolente,un asentamiento ilegal y descarado,de galgueros,organizadores de peleas de perros, cría ilegal y venta de animales...en pleno centro de la ciudad de SEVILLA??

¿Saben que NADIE ha hecho nada por proteger la vida y la dignidad de esos 200 animales explotados, que viven a duras penas, sin vacunas,sin chip,sin agua,sin luz solar,sin alimento regular,en condiciones que hacen clamar al cielo a cuanto ciudadano europeo pasa por el sitio?

¿Y que esos ciudadanos europeos vuelven a sus países con una imagen de la España tercermundista que difunden y difunden...y difunden?...¿Y ustedes sin saberlo?

El SEPRONA ha levantado varias actas y denunciado ese sitio...pero los políticos no se han dado por informados...o bien están prevaricando por omisión...

El Sr. Presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, ha estado recibiendo decenas de e-mails reclamando su atención sobre este caso...pero no ha pasado nada...y la Consejería de Medio Ambiente...y la de Agricultura y Pesca...y varios medios de comunicación...

¿QUÉ SOSPECHOSO PODER TIENEN LOS CAZADORES, GALGUEROS Y REHALEROS EN ANDALUCÍA???

¿VAMOS A ESPERAR QUE NOS LO CUENTEN EN EUROPA???

4 Fiesta de Galgos!

It gives me great pleasure to forward the photos of the 4 Fiesta de Galgos celebrated in Fuengirola 2 July 2011. The day started slowly, with few people arriving. After 2 weeks of cloudy skies and no great heat we were hit with a sudden 40º heat, which made the day hard.
Dioni hand made the agility course which was amazing!

The day set of to a slow start and the games which were prepared for the morning had to be forwaded to the afternoon. At 12 we had a planned guest who was a dog handler/trainer, and the idea was he would show with his class who joined him a basic class, and then invite people to join in.. a chance for some people to see how tricks and treats work. Sadly at the time Miguel came few people had arrived and so he and his class left due to other commitments in the day. I was greatful they came and sorry they left. Having said that, 3 members of his group came back, to whom I am greatful for wanting to spend the day with us and the galgos.
These are just some of the photos which were taken. There will be more on my blog and FB. I hope you enjoy them.

I am truly greatful for all who came and all who supported the day with sending products, wishes, without your help the day could not have gone ahead.
It was a small group and yet really homely. Everyone moved up to the shade and drank, ate tapas, and relaxed. Fuengirola Television came at that point and the program went live on air last night and was amazing! Talked about abandonment, the hunting and how we are trying to better the lives of the Spanish Galgo. A brief moment on TV but fantastically presented by the TV for favour of the asoc. and the galgos. Thankyou to them.
It was great to see Iru and Morena which were adopted by Estibilitz and Maria del mar a few months back, clear to see the love offered has changed these galgas lives. Thankyou.
We moved a few agility pieces to the shade in the afternoon and we all had a great time, we also managed the waggiest tail competition, and everyone left with a goodie, and a rossette of 112 carlota galgos.

My thanks to all who participated and helped provide sales, we achieved sales and after paying the bouncy castle which the kids enjoyed, the drinks and tapas, we made 110¤ which went straight away on Monday to the vets to help pay the enormous vet bill we all seem to make in the rescue world.
We met groups from Malaga, and local people who adopted galgos and people from the area. thankyou to them for coming and supporting the day.
My special thanks to all who sent items for this special day, close to all our hearts.

La historia de TAZ FLIP y WOLF!

El amor de una madre es todo, esta galga ha sacado, superado una vida super dificil. Ser una galga en España no es NADA facil, por ser una maquina de reproducir la vida es duro, triste, doloroso y luego despues de hacer todo por su Amo.. su galguero, estan tiraro como basura.. y esto es la suerte que tiene, si no estarian ahoracados, tirados en pozos o asesinados de alguna manera.

Esta madre, se supero todo, se ha sacado su cachorros a delante viviendo en un tubo de desagüe. Comiendo lo que ha podido coger, bebiendo de agua sucio. Y aqui existio. De lo que sabemos, en paz con su bebes.

La asociacion Arca de Noa Cordoba por suerte han podido rescatar les, todos! Gracias a ellos estan ya pueden empezar de saber que es, una caricia, y paz.

La mama se fue con otro asoc, en acogeida y 112 Carlota galgos se encargado de 3 cachorros.

2 voluntarios venia con los cachorros desde Cordoba y lo hemos cogiedo nosotros.

Taz Flip y Wolf.

Flip, querido Flip.

Flip quedo una noche con nosotros y el dia siguiente cuando llego a ver les, estaba tirado en el suelo. Enfermo.

Mas rapido no he podido correr. En brazos fue corriendo con un voluntario Lisa al veterinario. Se parecia muerte pero respirando lentamente.

Aguantar, lo pedi de el en el coche, pitando como un rally para llegar a tiempo.

Nada mas de llegar el veterinario ellos se encargaba de el. Al final de 24 horas de lucha, el tenia Giardia. Un parasito que se coge de agua sucio, de igual el desagüe .. no se puede saber. Al raiz de su muerte era otro enfermedad. Tan chico el no ha podido aguantar mas. Murio despues de 24 horas en la clinica.

Siento destrozada por el, pero en su nombre sus hermanos van a conseguir una familia especialmente para ellos. TAZ y WOLF estan bien, con tratamiento del mismo parasito por si a caso.

Estan empiezen de ser curiosos y ladra un poquito para conseguir atencion.

Estan en adopcion!

When I first started out on the galgo plight, I had many an image of rescuing galgos, the dangers the galgos face daily, the fear in the lives and their solitary existence has led me to several years down the line!

Here on the video, it makes me well up at the freedom these galgos have finally found. That they can live now without loking over their shoulder, and I am proud of them all.

We are proud as a team to work with Galgos del sol and know the success of seeing the galgos find peace will lead us to continue in the plight so that many more can find that same peace.

Cuando empeze de trabajar con la problema que tiene los galgos en España, uno de mis gran deseos era de ver los galgos vivir en paz, sin mirar hacia atras sin sombra, y con solo luz para guiar.

Ahora.. años mas adelante estoy orgulloso de habido conocer tantos personas trabajando para lo mismo causa. Mis agradecimientos son para NINA y su equipo de Slovenia, y de galgos del sol.. con quien trabajando juntos hemos podido salvar muchos galgos y miramos hacia delante para salvar mas.

Lo primero quiero pedir perdón, porque día sí y día no, os envío correos de casos extremos, pero es que es lo que nos encontramos...y necesitamos ayuda. Este año los abandonos están siendo masivos y en casos como el de Helena o como este de Julia, no podemos mirar hacia otro lado...Gracias a tod@s, porque sin vosotros, no podríamos seguir.

La crueldad humana no tiene limite y se refleja claramente en nuestra pequeña Julia. Ni el mayor crimen tendría como castigo lo que Julia ha recibido, no hace falta mucha imaginación para sentir el dolor que ella ha padecido y renegar una vez más de pertenecer a este mundo, cruel y sin corazón.

Julia apareció hace algunos días en un campo, las personas que alli trabajaban le daban de comer, pero no dejaba que nadie se acercara a ella, llevaba una cuerda colgando al cuello que le arrastraba, si se enganchaba o se pisaba la cuerda chillaba de dolor. Viendo que no se la ganaban con la comida, dieron el aviso, gracias a Nuria y su padre que se han preocupado por ella, hoy mismo se ha rescatado.

Julia como se puede apreciar en las fotos, ha tenido que padecer horribles dolores, incluso en algunas partes la piel le había crecido por encima de la cuerda, cuanto tiempo llevaria esta pequeña padeciendo que tiraba mordiscos al aire, pensaria que ibamos a seguir haciendola padecer. Ya está a salvo en el veterinario, de momento hospitalizada para poder ir haciendole las curas a diario, ya que ha sido imposible coser. En cuanto despertó de la sedación y sintió que no le dolia su actitud cambió, ya acepta las caricias pero te mira con extrañeza, ya que cada mano que le pusieron encima !!!NUNCA FUE UNA CARICIA!

No es la primera vez que le ocurre, aunque no se aprecie en las fotos, también tuvo una cuerda, alambre o lo que sea amarrado a su barriga, ¿para que? a saber, esta cicatrizada ya, aunque no creo que nadie se lo curara.

Hay muchissimo casos en lo cual que Beryl ha ayudado, y las personas quien apoyan Galgo News con actividades y maneras de conseguir un final feliz para los galgos y asoc. en España. Una manera de recaudir fondos era El dia internacional del perro.. esto ha sido un paseo en nombre del perro.. Galgo/podenco. Emy te necesita!

A Emy nos la traían esta mañana desde Cuenca. Emilio y Joanna la recogieron anoche completamente aterida y con una gran herida en la pata. Llevaba vagando varios días por el pueblo pero nadie se había parado a ayudarla, algo bastante común en este país de salvajes. Emy tiene una pata completamente destrozada, las larvas de las moscas se han comido parte de ella y sólamente tiene las falanges de los dedos. No queremos imaginarnos el dolor que ha tenido que pasar, el veterinario la ha quitado unos cien gusanos, aparte de las garrapatas que la tenían comidita. Ahora se ha quedado ingresada y probablemente haya que amputarla la pata porque no hay posibilidad de reconstrucción. De momento está estable y come con ganas, la hemos sacado a dar un paseito y la pobre te mira con esos ojitos color miel como queriendo darte las gracias. Dentro de todo lo malo ha dado negativo en leashmania, erliquia y filaria que ya es mucho para como está la pobrecita.

Ahora tenemos muchos casos parecidos a los de Emy, tenemos a Romina una cruce de labrador que después de pasar un maldito moquillo se a quedado minusválida de las patas traseras y a la que hay que dar una costosa rehabilitación, también hoy hemos recogido a Nora una cruce de Bretón con una fractura en la patita delantera muy antigua llevaba abandonada mas de un mes en la puerta de una tienda donde la daban de comer no sabemos que pasara con su patita, tenemos al gatito de un mes con una malformación en una de sus patitas. ACUNR acoge y ayuda a todo los animales que puede y nos negamos a sacrificar a ninguno pero en estos momentos estamos pasando grandes apuros económicos, si nos quieres ayudar acogiendo, adoptando, haciéndote socio o apadrinando o simplemente dándonos un donativo ponte en contacto con nosotros.

MORENA’s STORY.
Todo empezo para MORENA hace un tiempo en Murcia. Ser galga de un cazador, no es nada facil. La existencia es miserable, triste, y hambriente. El dolor en el corazon porque hay mas fuera de tu existencia.. pero intocable, esperando con brazos abiertos, pero para ser galgo en españa... la vida es aguantar y soñar para estos brazos abiertos para que se carician, aman, y llenan el corazon con amor. Para muchos galgos .. sabemos es soñar!

Morena tenia un dueño, y un acompañera. Tilly! El cazador se puso en contacto con Tina de GALGOS DEL SOL, porque el no queria quedarse mas con las galgas, si ella no hizo carga de ellas se iban a matar.

Pues con nada mas de decir, Tina se puso en accion y organizo para quedarse con las galgas. Bajo ningun concepto ella iba a dejar el galguero quedar con las 2 galgas. Hablando entre las 2, GALGOS DEL SOL y 112CARLOTA GALGOS trabajan juntos para conseguir lo mejor para los galgos o podencos que tenemos. Hemos hecho hueco para las niñas aqui en Malaga. Dioni y yo fuimos a coger las con algunos mas quien necesitaban tiempo con nosotros. Tina – todos los dias esta de rescate porque en Murcia donde tu miras hay un galgo abandonado.

Morena era muy timida, y su acompañera al contrario, mas agressiva por su miedo. Las 2 necesitando distinctos cuidos pero con lo mismo destino en cuenta.. una familia para ellas.

Tilly fue adoptada primeramente con sus acompañeras quien venia de GALGOS DEL SOL y algunos de 112 CARLOTA GALGOS, y Morena, pues ella se quedo con nosotros. Con todo el amor que ella deseaba tener, con los brazos abiertos, pero todavia faltaba algo.. una familia!

Pues Gracias a Maria del Mar y Pilar su hermana, ellas se puso en contacto con DEGALGOS de Barcelona quien me ha pasado el contacto. Maria del Mar queria adoptar una galga.
La familia vivia solo diez minutos de mi casa, y aqui es donde empieze el “para siempre” de Morena.

Despues de varios visitas con la familia con Morena.. yo estoy orgullosa de entregar a Morena a la familia. Morena, Ena.. tiene una mama fantastica. Incluso Dioni en la furgoneta despues me dijo “a mi me gustaria estar adoptada de ellas tambien!” Je. Morena como puedes ver en las fotos, esta en manos felices. Una mama y tia quien va a luchar para ella, quien va a cuidar de cada necesidad, quien aman a ella mas porque es galga negra en España, quien tiene abrazos abierto para su Morena, ahora y para siempre.

Gracias Maria del Mar, porque estamos encantados de que eres la mama de Morena, deseamos todo la felicidad en el mundo para vosotras y para Ena.

Morenas story!

It all started for Morena some time back in Murcia. Being a Galga in Spain, and a black one the world is against you!
Life is hard and its a harsh existence despite the ache in your heart for something out there which you’ve never ever known. An ache for open arms, a stroke across your body and full belly are things which a galgo can only dream of.

Here’s where Morenas story began and her start of freedom.
Tina from GALGOS EL SOL was approached by a hunter, he had 2 black galgas one totally black Morena, and one black and white. He as always .. didnt want them. Now surplus to requirements he just didnt need them. He approached Tina and said it how it was, take them or I kill them. Without a moment to spare, Tina while thinking other means of his disgraceful behaviour went into action and took in the girls. with space being made for them here in malaga 112CARLOTA GALGOS and GALGOS DEL SOL work alongside one another to help each other, and so Dioni and I prepared the journey to Murcia to pick up the girls and other galgos coming to us.

Both girls leaning on each other for support, we arrived back in Malaga and each one needed distinctive care. Morena, Ena scared and timid and Tilly her friend agressive in her fear.. we worked alongside the girls and the other galgos we have and had. Before long the most part were adopted including Tilly. All Morena wanted was “her own” forever. while she received all the love and care she needed, what she truly needed and longed for was her family to call her own.

Maria del Mar and her sister Pilar wanted to adopt a galga. They were in touch with DEGALGOS from Barcelona who very kindly put them in touch with me. after several visits with Morena, Ena to visit the family I am absolutely delighted to announce Morena has her very own FOREVER!
I am proud that the family only live 10 minutes from us and we will be seeing Ena on a regular basis, the most wonderful family for Ena. No more than Maria del Mar seeing Ena she loved her. Being black and a galga.. even more. a wonderful wonderful family, infact on the way home Dioni commented to me “he would like to be adopted by the sisters as well!” (I’ll remember that!)

Heres the beginning of Enas Forever, with HER family. She has 2 doggie brothers, and a very protective Mummy and Auntie. experianced dog handlers, and all the love in the world for their new baby.

I am so happy for Morena, we all are.

El rescate de Henrietta!

El 15 Abril 2011 hemos recibido una llamada de Marbella.

Una llamada sobre una galga abandonada y buscando cobertizo debajo de un camion. por su puesto hemos ido en el momento.

Cuando hemos llegado, la galga no era una galga! La perrita abandonada era un cruce de bodeguero con Beagle. Mas o menos! Los quien rescatan perros ver todos los dias razas mezclados.. de crianza inparable! De personas quien piensan es "cruel esterilizar un perro o perra, pero no cruel abandonar los cachorros o regalar a uno donde se puede lavar los manos de su futuro!"

Nada mas de llegar a la zona escondido, pero lleno de casa de chalets en privado, alli tumbado hemos visto la princesita. Escondido! La pareja quien nos han avisado dijo que aun que habia genta quien queria intentar sacar la, ella gruño o mordio, un animal maltratado no sabe la diferencia en el momento de un rescate.. quien tiene mano duro, un palo, o quien quiere ayudar le.

Lisa se metio debajo del camion, y yo en el otro lado. La perrita con un panico no sabia donde se pone. Hablando con voz bajo, suavemente, se acerco. Mirando desde mi sitio, vi que Lisa estaba acercando con una correa en tipo lazo pero "correa" poco a poco, hemos visto que la princesa queria estar a salvo, pero temo por si a caso despues recibio un palo. En cuanto lo vi que Lisa tenia la correa en la cabeza fui acercando me, puse la correa mas abajo, despacito .. despacito, y ya cogido. Una vez seguro, fuimos de alli. Ella templando de miedo. Se veia jovencita, unos 2 años. Dulce, sucio, lleno de garrapatas y pulgas.

Acercamos a la furgoneta para llevar la con nosotros y a un futuro seguro pero primero como todos quien entran, al veterinario. llamando la clinica fuimos directamente para sacar sangre para su pruebas de Leishmania, Erlichea y filaria. Los cuales que son Negativos! Lunes se esteriliza y preparamos su vacunas, su pasaporte.

Hemos puesto Henrietta! (Enrietta) es super cariñosa, obediente, y quiere estar a tu lado.

Lo bueno de todo, es que hoy hemos recibido una visita especial. De una familia quien llevar tiempo interesado en venir a conocer nuestros Galgos y caballos. Nada mas de llegar, pues Enrietta se saludaba, se puso de espalda con la barigo para arriba.. "toca me, caricia me.. " fuimos de pasear, y los niños estaban encantado con ella, y ella con los niños.

Lo final de la historia de Enrietta es que se va en acogeida con esta familia tan especial. Se han enamorado de ella en el momento, y Enrietta esta a punto de conocer un mundo como nunca. Gracias a la familia de acogeida. Esperamos fotos que van a venir de Enrietta en familia!

Quien puede pensar que la vida de una perrita escondida de su propio existenica - puede llegar de llevar el corazon de esta familia. Pero es asi! Cuando abris tu corazon a un perro no te repentiras! Te ofrecen todo por ti, te dan todo por ti.

Enrietta fue una perrita de cazaria, tratado con crueldad como demasiados perros, sin cama, sin comida, sin veterinario, .. pero con manos suaves, con cariño.. son mascotas. Con una camita para ellos, con comida para ellos, y con amor te ofrecan proteccion, amistad, compania, y un corazon llena, y completamente para ti!

The Incredible Journey

The Journey began for some on the 24th December 2010, the day their future changed forever. Jaspers journey began when he came to us.

From Vermin to shining Glory as the Galgo is recognised as a household pet.

In steps 112 carlota Galgos in combination with Galgos del Sol.

Firstly Dioni goes to Jerez and rescues Jasper - a tall strong galgo with fear in his eyes and heart to match the fear he feels in his soul. Terrified and sad. Along with tulip, Risa and Telmo. Jasper was the last to find his forever home on the 9th April 2011.

Jasper stayed with us for several months and began to find himself, he then went to a great galgo friend Tina from galgos del sol, who fell in love with him but it just wasnt to be and he didnt settle in the refuge. Thinking from there he may have been noticed - he just kept being passed by! He became sad and low. Hiding in his box and not wanting to go out. So we took the trip to go and pick him up and bring him back to us where he recognised where he was from his first steps into safety. Curious how he just remembered! He even knew directly where his bed was.

Time passed and he developed into his character, he began to play he began to leap and jump. An amazing sight to see him happy.

Along side Galgos del Sol we began work with an amazing group from Solvania and immediately he was spotted alongside all our galgos which we had.

I cannot thank Nina enough from Slovania group for their professional care and attention to detail in the collection of 9 dogs and finding them their forever homes.

I am proud to put the link here of Jasper in his final forever home.. I am sure he will give his new parents such joy and pleasure.

MORI came to us from Galgos del Sol. Such a sweet galga, gentle and soft. affectionate and loving. I am so proud to see this link of Mori in her new home, just as Id imagine her to be, enjoying a snooze in a duvet. Precious MORI, Good luck sweet girl.

Hanged galgos for the first time in history we will go to court!!!

A man confessed to having hanged his greyhounds because "it was the custom to do so at the end of the hunting season"

This case is being investigated by the court of Torrijos and the hunter faces a prison sentence.

The animals had a microchip,which helped to locate the culprit.

Madrid 3rd March 2011.
On February the 10th,last month,the bodies of three greyhounds were found, partially buried, near to the sewage works in Fuensalida (Toledo). From the very beginning the investigators suspected that the owner of the dogs was responsible for their fate.He later confessed. In his statement to the authorities he confirmed that " he was the owner of two of the dead greyhounds and that it was his usual practice to hang the animals once the hunting season was over"He added that " he thought this method better than abandoning the greyhounds like some others did".He declared that " he did not now that it was a crime to hang animals"
After the discovery of the corpses the animals are now awaiting an autopsy in order to discover whether they were ill treated or if any cruelty existed. Two microchips were found in two of the dogs,thus facilitating the location of the owner of the dogs.

These facts confirm that this practice,which some consider as "normal" still exists and is passed on from generation to generation in rural areas.The latest legal amendments with regard to cruelty to animals have changed what was once considered an error, into a criminal act,which holds the perpetrator resonsible for his actions.
However,the practice of hanging greyhounds once the hunting season has ended,or when the animals are of no further use,continues to be commonplace in Spain.

The BaasGalgo Association, an organization which fights for the welfare and protection of this race of dogs is acting as the private accuser in this case.
In fact volunteers of BaasGalgo,after being alerted by local residents,located the corpses and informed the local Police and the Civil Guard .
For many years now BaasGalgo has promoted many acts of solidarity with the prime object of informing the general public of the real plight of the greyhound in Spain.

The reality of the greyhound in Spain.

It is estimated that thousands of greyhounds are ill treated each year in Spain.In many cases,the greyhounds that are no longer of any use to the hunters are abandoned or cruelly sacrificed .Although no official statistics exist,the associations which defend greyhounds estimate that the number could be as high as 40,000.
Ignorance,fear of presenting a charge and the lack of animal protection laws,aggravate the problem.

Spain continues to be figure far above other European countries with regard to abandoning animals.
In fact many greyhounds abandoned in Spain are adopted by members of other European countries such as Holland,Belgium or France.BaasGalgo,in the years they have been working to rescue greyhounds, have helped to facilitate adoptions of Spanish greyhounds in other European countries.

Remember Luna?

Luna.. Luna was rescued when 15 galgos came into the Perrera El Paraiso in Malaga. They both came home with me and the following day we went to Tinas galgos del Sol. This is where Tina fell in love with Bonnie, seen here kissing her. Upon an adoption falling through Tina adopted her. An amazing happy ending for Bonnie.

Luna however, was very very sad. She was in pup and had to be sterilised. Also with leishmania she began her recouperation but became extremely independant. patiently waiting her turn at an adoption she didnt help herslef by not wanting anyone near her. But you cannot tell these galgos we are kind over night, when they have been battered and abused and had hard lives, its generally patience, time and routine which will win them over. They have to learn to trust you and know you are ok.

Lunas happy day came just last week. She has waitied months. A lovely couple from Portugal came all the way over to see her, then came back a few days later and adopted her. Here are some happy ending photos of luna, now Misty!

Good luck Misty. We are all proud of you. You made it lil girl, a family of your very own!

Angela, named for an amazing lady with a huge heart and soul for galgos, podencos and any animal in need. This baby podenca was spotted by Tina at the Jerez perrera. Where many a dog comes in, free from the hell they know,but into death. For here, they meet their ends, cold hungry, sick. Those who arent sick would generally become sick here, for the floors are damp and environment cold. Cold and hard.. in every aspect of life. There is no love here!

You can see the harsh handling of this podenco within the perrera, for these animals are not treated with warm hearts, nor are they looked upon for having feelings themselves. All terrified of their fates. Only a kind hearted Maribel who sends out emails to those of us who care, can give these animals the chance of freedom. Some, just never make it as the amount is way too many.

Angela showed signs of being unwell and went down hill. struck down with parvo and too weak to fight it, she closed her eyes in peace.

We are so sorry, a puppy with everything to live for. Robbed of life through poor care.

You were loved little one, we will never forget you. I'm sure your namesake will be waiting for you with open arms in a place where no harm will ever come to you again.

Angela, nombrado por una señora quientenia su alma llena de amor para los galgos, podencos y cualquiere animal.

La pequeñita Angela fue rescatada por Tina Galgos del Sol. Como podemos ver en la foto, la podenca fue tratado con manos duros en la perrera de Jerez. Una vergüenza y asco, tratado sin sentimientos, y como los animales alli tampoco siente nada. Tirados como basura. Muerto de miedo cada perro entra alli pensando que estan libres del maltrato que le han sufrido antes, pero no.. esto sigue. Podemos ver en la foto no!

Si no estan enfermos cuando entran, la mayoria cogen enfermedades alli. Los suelos estan frios, humedos, y con poco posibilidades de un futuro. Esto depende de un voluntario Maribel quien esta alli, haciendo fotos para mandar a personas y asoc. quien tiene una alma. Asi si, los con suerte puede salir de alli. Si no, es la pena de muerte.

Angela fue rescatada, llego a manos de Tina, pero con el tiempo se ha empeorado. Tenia Parvo, demasiado debil y malita para luchar, hoy se ha cerrado su ojos para siempre.

Te amamos Angela. Estoy segura Angela esta alli esperando te con brazos abiertos y nunca mas vas a sentir dolor.

Que tristeza.

Here she is, made it into foster care, she couldnt be anywhere better, a far cry from where she came from.
Y aqui esta.. por fin an casa de acogeida, y Mejor no puede estar. Un enorme cambio de donde ella ha venido en principio.

A reader in the UK has taken up the plight of the galgos in Spain with her MEP. Derek Vaughan, one of the Labour MEP's for Wales has replied that he 'was very concerned about the problem and has tabled a Written Question to the Commission to bring it to wider attention and see what can be done to help end this unnecessary suffering'.

Derek Vaughan needs the support of as many other MEPs as possible. Please write to your MEP and ask them to support the Written Question. Below is a sample letter which is a variation of the one to the president of the European Commission already on Galgo News.

If anyone can translate it into other languages, please do so and circulate it to the galgo rescue organisations in your country. (Send me a copy to for reference)

Due to the world wide reach of the Internet, it is impossible to hide most anything from anyone who owns a computer. We live in a global community where news is shared instantaneously on a daily basis.

There is a huge volume of news on the Internet denouncing Spain as a tourist destination. The reason? Not Al-Qaeda, not bad weather, not lack of sightseeing but for the atrocious treatment of animals in that country.

One of the most horrendous atrocities is the annual massacre of the galgo espanol, the Spanish greyhound - from the moment they are born until the moment they die they know nothing but suffering and misery. They are fed nothing more than stale mouldy bread, and ‘live’ in oppressive cold dreary conditions. Come the end of January, after they are used for hunting and the season ends, the annual holocaust of the Galgo begins.

The way these animals are killed is worse than any horror movie you will ever see. These animals are hung from trees, thrown down deep wells, dragged behind cars, shot, bludgeoned, as well as being abandoned en mass to meet their fate with a speeding car or slowly starve to death. News has just been released stating some are donated by hunters for veterinary students and subsequently embalmed ALIVE. Please take a moment, clear your head, and think about this. The anguish they feel is impossible to imagine.

Thus far, Spain’s answer to all the aforementioned atrocities committed on these dogs is to deny that any of this happens. It is quite obvious that this kind of attitude does nothing to improve their awful worldwide reputation for being one of the worst EU countries regarding animal welfare.

Spain is the only country which still allows hunting with Galgos. The mass murder of 50,000 sentient beings per year simply for the sake of a few mens’ ‘entertainment’ is clearly unacceptable. The trail of bloodshed and misery is unbearable.

The EU MUST implement protection for the Spanish Galgos which will ensure they can live a life free from the immense torture they face on a daily basis.

Derek Vaughan, one of the Labour MEP's for Wales is very concerned about the problem and has tabled a Written Question to the Commission to bring it to wider attention and see what can be done to help end this unnecessary suffering.

Ecologistas Extremadura ha denunciado ante la fiscalía de Medio Ambiente de Badajoz el hallazgo de un galgo ahorcado en el término municipal de Don Benito. El animal había sido torturado cruelmente con multitud de golpes por todo su cuerpo y con quemaduras en la parte exterior de las orejas. Fue ahorcado bajo el acueducto del canal secundario situado en el paraje conocido como Las Puercas, del citado término municipal de Don Benito.
Según dicha organización conservacionista, lo sucedido no es un hecho aislado. Unas semanas antes, el dueño de una parcela cercana encontró otro galgo ahorcado dentro de su propiedad. Esta asociación denuncia públicamente los continuos maltratos que siguen sufriendo los animales en la región. Se trata de un tema que las administraciones públicas siguen sin tomarse en serio, afirman.

FROM THE ASOCIATION THE REPORT IS THAT THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED CASE. A FEW WEEKS BEFORE AN OWNER FROM A PLOT OF LAND FOUND A GALGO HUNG WITHIN HIS PROPERTY. THE ASOC. DENOUNCES PUBLICLY THE CONTINUATION OF ABUSE AND MALTREATMENT WHICH THE ANIMALS OF THIS AREA SUFFER. IT DETAILS THAT THE ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM DO NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY THE PROBLEM.
En primer lugar, consideran que debe realizarse un censo fiable de perros de caza, con especial incidencia en los galgos. Este censo ha de acarrear un posterior control y seguimiento de la situación de los animales.
Ecologistas Extremadura exige que todos los perros de caza estén inscritos en el registro pertinente, según establece la ley, ya sea a nivel nacional, autonómico o local, en el que se detallen todos los datos del perro, entre otros el número de identificación de microchip que ya es obligatorio tenerlo en Extremadura. Además los cazadores, dueños de estos animales, tendrán la obligación de presentar la cartilla de vacunación y desparasitación ante el requerimiento de la autoridad competente. Los que no cumplan estas normas deben ser multados, señalan.

9 days of freedom, Good night Telmo. 9 DIAS DE LIBERTAD, BUENAS NOCHES TELMO.

Early this morning I went to the vets, ready to say goodnight Telmo. ESTA MAÑANA FUI AL VETARINARIO PREPARADA PARA DECIR BUENAS NOCHES A TELMO.

To be greatful for his life and let him know his 9 days of rescue we thank him for, but Telmo closed his eyes this morning with the vet just before I got there. EN AGRADECIMIENTO POR SU VIDA, Y PARA DECIR LE QUE POR ESTOS 9 DIAS ES NOSOTROS QUIEN NOS DAN LA GRACIAS A EL, PERO TELMO CERRO SU OJOS CON EL VETERINARIO ANTES DE MI LLEGADA.

Its not a story to sell, while I want to place his photo of his goodbye and publish the plight of the galgos even more - his honor is to protect, and his life is to be remembered. Hence the photo of him alive and on his way forward into rescue. It is with this memory that Telmo deserves.

I am saddened for I have not been able to offer him the rest of his life in freedom, the chance of his family and a love forever. I have prayed hard for Telmo and am greatful he passed away in the warmth, in safety, and in peace. It's something he chose to do for himself.. decisions which have probaly never ever been his, - when to eat, drink, run here, run there faster and faster and faster.. for his master requires this and back then, the brindle galgo would just have to obey for the consequences would be more than he could bare.

Libertad del infierno para estos 4 galgos de Jerez. Quien sabe de donde viene, y de que se ha aguantado en su pobres vidas.. pero el dia 24.12.10 fue el dia de celebracion para estos 4. Una nueva vida.

La triste noticias es que Telmo esta muy enfermo. Se agarro a la vida y sigue aggrandose a la vida. El tiene su corazon demasiado grande, y la arteria principal esta demasiado pequeño. Esto significa que el no tiene suficiente oxigeno para respirar. Esta Muy cansado, muy cansado. Es super cariñoso y solo quiere que alguien esta con el, a su lado.

Vamos estar con el, a su lado para el tiempo que el necesita.

SCARED, HURT, HUNGRY, AND SAD, LIKE THIS THEY CAME TO US. FOR THE LIFE OF THE GALGO IS FAR FROM EASY. ASOCIATED WITH THE HARE THEY DONT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE KNOWN FOR WHO THEY REALLY ARE, SWEET, NOBLE, AND CARING. FOR THESE 4 THIS IS THEIR OPPORTUNITY.

THE SAD NEWS IS THAT TELMO IS VERY VERY SICK. HE HUNG TO LIFE AND CONTINUES TO DO SO. HOW WE DON'T KNOW? HIS HEART TOO BIG, EXTREMELY LARGE AND THE MAIN ARTERY IS WAY TOO SMALL. THIS MEANS THAT THE OXYGEN GOING INTO THE HEART CANT SUPPLY IT ENOUGH. HE IS TIRED, VERY TIRED. HE IS SUPER FRIENDLY, CARING AND JUST WANTS YOU TO BE BY HIS SIDE. WE WILL BE WITH HIM FOR THE TIME HE NEEDS US THERE.
